  1. Why not just say.. 500 K… Pinch Hitter … why not? Money? Over the course of the season.. 10,000+ more fans will attend home games for the Pujol's send off season.. And the Cardinals will make money off of it in fan attendance…

  2. Albert goes to St. Louis.
    1.) Retires as a Cardinal
2.) He pinches against lefties while transitioning into hitting coach.
3.) Cards sell out every seat this year recouping covid losses.
4.) Merchandise sales soar. Think Musial merch.
5.) Huge returns on nostalgia. Owners pay nothing.
6.) Owns a home and tons of close relationships in St. Louis.
7.) Goes out, relatively on top. (Popularity more than production)
8.) Guaranteed to never get booed
9.) Fans want him. And again, will drop stupid money to see him.
10.) I'm pretty sure it's what God would want.

  3. Francisco Lindor is a young player, and he's hitting less than Pujols also Miguel Cabrera. I am quitting to be an Angel fan. The Latin community will never forgive this mistreatment to one of the best hitters in history, also a great human being with his foundation. The angel is not going anywhere this year. Now the angels would make more money having puls reaching 700 hr. I think something weird is behind this

  4. Damn Nolan the gift that keeps giving. A great player, teammate, and person. My Cardinals are lucky to have you! Albert time to come home!

  5. It’s so cool to see a star like Arenado pay respects to Pujols and call him his favorite player. I hope a team signs him for a year or two and is able to reach 700 hr

  6. That’s very nice of him I wonder when he met him he knows Matt holiday well does he know Albert too or was he just his favorite

  7. Albert it’s time to finish what you left off I’m sure cardinals fans will allow you to come to St. Louis to finish your career your the heart of the St. Louis cardinals don’t forget that man there’s always a place for you it’s up to you if you wanna come back where you begun your career

  8. Im a little let down, I wanted to see that ONE YEAR with Trout and Albert hit 325 with 30 HRs and 120 RBIs. That would have been something to have seen dangit.
Anyway, great career, always loved watching him lace singles off center field wall.

  9. Always liked Arenado, now so much more…class and sincere act

Any team that signs Pujols for '21-'22 will get 3 things out of him: 1st veteran guidelines for youngsters, 2nd at least 4 personal milestones – 700/715 HR, 700 2B & 2215 RBI (while positioning top 10 in the all time hits list) – and 3rd if it's a team that makes it to the Playoffs, EVERYONE will be remembered why he was picked on, I'm sure he'll be a beast searching another ring.

Looking forward to see the schedule of whoever signs him to book a trip! I've been a huge Pujols fan ever since the Lidge Blast. I also hope he goes out the right way!

    Thanks Arenado!!!

  10. I agree with Nolan I am a huge Cards fan I am unable to go to games anymore due to my health Albert you brought so much joy to my life watching you play as a Cardinal You deserve respect Great job Nolan well said

  11. Career stat lines of him as a Cardinal vs as an Angel read like a different player. 31 is not that old. He shouldn’t have dropped off like that. Shame.

  12. And I just relised something Matt holiday was a cardinal longer then he was a rockie Matt holiday was only with Oakland a year

  13. Albert is one of the Greatest Greediest to ever play this game. He would of been as Stan Musial, but he went for the money. Nolan STFU, he got his 240 million and that….. is leaving the right way. Albert, get your fat ass on a diet.

  14. Nolan you and I much respect to that human being and he also my favorite player thank you Albert Pujols for those amazing moments 💙

  15. He made a fortune for playing a kid's game and he played like crap for the Angels. There are those who think he is much older than the says he is, so in a sense he may have knowingly deceived his teams and their fans. Give me a freaking break. Good riddance!!!!!

  16. My 3 favorite players ever Reggie Jackson, Mcgwire, and Pujols. He is one of the greatest players to have laced up a pair of spikes and to me it is an absolute travesty the Angels did what they did. Its a business but he deserves to go out on his terms.

  17. Here after Albert hit 699 and 700 tonight. Regardless if we win the WS this year or not. I'm glad AP did in fact get to go out the right way
