  1. He literally said that he would get his opportunity, it comes down to matchups, I think Heinola would fit in very well against teams like Montreal and Toronto but against physical teams like the Calgary and Vancouver Maurice wants a physical presence. Another thing is you can't really criticize a coach who's team is doing very well and looks very good even when their defense on paper looks suspect. Last season when goaltending was suspect they rarely won, the past few games this season it has been and they have been able to get the win. Something has to be working.

  2. Your not playing video games when it comes to NHL hockey and there is a reason Paul Maurice is an NHL coach your an idiot what a waste of my time

  3. I'm not a big fan of Logan Stanley, but he was a first round pick, has paid his dues in the AHL and is big and potentially mean. Jets have enough offense, they need defense. Remember how teams in the playoffs would run at Wpg's D. We need a couple of big, bad defensemen. Morrisey and Pionk aren't going to cut it. It is wishful thinking to believe that a couple of 19 year olds can come into the NHL without pro experience and it undermines morale at the Moose. Many rookies have been destroyed by being brought too quickly. For example Stanley was far from ready even though he was drafted 18th. Jets philosophy has been draft and DEVELOP.

  4. Perhaps both of them are good and experience is not a bad thing whether it be in the nhl or ahl. Nothing to really get upset about.

  5. Dude this isn’t a bad thing, heinola will get his chances this season and next season

  6. I usually agree with what you have to say, but not this time. Both Stanley and Heinola have showed that they can play. But, yes with Stanley's ability to kill penalties, it does help the Jets overall to win games because that is a part of the game you cannot overlook. You want him in there, but at the same time you were against Niku "being thrown to the wolves" without any experience. Which is it? Get experience in the AHL or get thrown to the wolves? After Forbort, Beaulieu and DeMelo, who would you want on the PK Stanley or Heinola? The PP has been playing well as of late, but if it starts to suffer, maybe Heinola gets a call. And him getting experience on how to run a PP will go as long way in getting him back in and staying in. I really like Heinola and he will be a star on this team soon enough.

  7. Heinous needs a little more growing whereas Stanley has grown. Not saying he's better but he's the right choice right now. Learn from other teams who rushed prospects and lets not repeat it.

  8. teams pretty weak already although heinola might be better then a couple of those guys the kids only 19 and the teams lacking physicality plus it’s working rn no reason to take stanley out

  9. I think logan Stanley is bit underrated i know he might not put up many points but he is big physical not scared to fight if needed and plays good defensive hockey 🙂 jets have enough offensive fire power but you need also someone who Will Block shots battle near boards and as cbj fan i would gladly have him on my team even tough we have good deph on D

  10. A waste … coach is doing fine … line 1 … not so much … just your keyboard couch coaching opinion

  11. Injuries Will happen just wait. The chances will come. The peg needs a guy like Stanley to grow and become a buff replacement and it clearly wasn’t happening not in the nhl. So for his development, the nhl is better for him. The other two will get there chances when they come. They still are practicing and with COVID being what it is more people will miss time. There are still 48 more games this season

  12. This is more about the locker room and being a 'good WInnipeg Jet' than you realize. I agree that Ville is really good, better than most as you say, , but he may not fit in with a room of men the same way Logan does. That stuff matters.

  13. I hope Heinola gets traded so he gets chance to play. I have a bad feeling he will get stuck in development hell and get bounced around between AHL and NHL

  14. I don't think rotating three rookies in and out the lineup would be a good idea. Our defence needs consistency and stability, which Stanley has shown he can bring, alongside more experience playing a NA style game. Heinola will get his chance to play when injuries inevitably happen. There's no need to panic.

Edit: also, a condensed season to me means a need for less experimentation and shuffling of D pairings. Every game counts that much more, and you'd want to get your players settled in ASAP.

  15. Lol.. you said PDL. Logan Stanley is playing great right now and will only get better from here. Also, Forbort scored last night.

  16. I’d rather have Beaulieu in the lineup than heinola. He’s a character guy blocks shots hits and stands up for teammates. North division is physical and we need that in the lineup.

  17. Ok peg city #1 why would you burn an entry level contract developing a player because you have to sign pionk and lets be honest Logan Stanley is ready just look at Rasmus dahlin he took a huge step back and as good as heinola is , he’s no dahlin!
