Jack Rathbone played in an obscure high school league for the past few years, and is now heading over to Harvard to start his NCAA tenure. The Vancouver Canucks prospect, drafted in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft in the 4th round, is regarded as one of the best skaters in the Canucks prospect system, arguably at or higher than the level of Quinn Hughes.

Hi. I’m legorocks99Gaming (Otherwise known as “legorocks99,” “LR99Gaming,” or simply “LR99”). An average teenager that posts video game commentaries on YouTube. I’m still very young, and the fact that I make videos on YouTube is pretty much the only difference between myself and the stereotypical teenager. I enjoy making YouTube videos and I hope that you enjoy watching them!

He's not Casey Staum, so irrelevant
I was at the summer showcase and no, Hughes was easily the best defensemen in every way you can measure an aspect of a players game, no one was even close to “arguably better than him”, no sweat on rathbone though, he looked like the best other than Hughes it’s just that Hughes is on another level
The future for the Canucks when it comes to left side dmen looks very bright.
Juolevvi and a top 15 protected 1st for EK
His progression in development from last year to this year is Incredible he's looks like a completely different player
I live out in the Boston area, very close to the school that Jack attends. I have gotten to see him play a number of games, and he showcased a great transition game. Rathbone is an elite skater, with an absolute cannon of a shot. His defensive game will need some work, as he is more of an offensive blueliner. He will thrive in the Harvard system, he will get a large amount of ice time, and should get power play time. His path is following very similarly to Ryan Donato of the Boston Bruins. Same schools m attended and the same type of situation. I’m excited to see what Rathbone can do at the next level, and it should be an interesting story to see where he ends up. He has the potential to be a middle pairing defenseman, and if he really explodes at Harvard, maybe even a top pairing guy. His game reminds me a bit of a Torrey Krug, a smaller blueliner who can run a power play, and get very good shots off quickly in tight spaces.
