IMO, Brad has done a great job in the short time he's been GM. Extending AM34. Bringing in Bertuzzi, and Domi, two competitive guys with alot of "snot" to their game. Klingberg, who will be a point producer on the blueline, where we struggled this past season. He will probably run the powerplay with Mo as well. And Reaves, who will hold everyone accountable. As a leaf fan, I can't be mad.

Brad your a weak gm and I'm embarrassed as a fan. Matthews …exceptional player but can't play under pressure in this market. 7 years man. Many chances. You should've traded him if he wouldn't sign a team friendly contract. Goal is to win a cup right? Keep the money and sign 2 guys that can get it done. Now you have Nylander….a guy who is super clutch in the playoffs and is a very good player but you will nickel and dime him. MLSE only cares about the players that sell and revenue they bring. A cup is not a priority .

Reilly= Early playoff exit, you can add McDavid to this team and still same results with Reilly on the 1st pair. Mathews could score four goals with Reilly on D we still lose. Klingburg on the PP1 and 1st pair might improve the odds but we still need a punishing D core who can make an outlet pass. Handcuffed by tavares contract doesn't help we could have 2 very decent young players for that price. Tavares too soft like Reilly also cannot pass like Reilly and also does not hit just like Reilly and unlike Reilly Tavares is way too slow for todays game. Knies on the top six will score more than 30 goals.

They should trade Nylander and??? get a 2 way player in Lindholm and Hanifin we need another top 4 d man. Lindholm will change the core 4 and he is 2 way player unlike Nylander who is one dimensional.
I definitely like Brad more and more, he has a very calm demeanour. I thought getting it done with an AAV of 13.5 will be a small miracle but he’s outdone that. May be years under his predecessor had me theorizing the worst outcome.
