  1. Actually this provides Montreal a reprieve on their big mistake of taking KK 3rd overall in the draft. It also shows the Aho offer sheet issue was an issue that Carolina wanted to even the score with and this should settle that matter. Even if KK does do better than expected later in his career, we improve out team if Dvorak comes to Montreal because he simply is better than KK is. I see [no negatives here].

  2. The kk contract is only 1 year , dubois is up next year keep kk sign dubois next year and kk at a cheaper deal

  3. The Coyotes likely will demand more from the Habs, knowing that the Habs are desperate for a replacement centre.

  4. Sucks to see KK go. Loved watching him play. But I guess you have to go another route and move on, I’m sure he will turn out to be a great player

  5. That idea is literally exactly what I've been saying ever since the offer sheet came out. Montreal has all of the power in this situation, so I really don't know what Carolina was thinking. Let KK walk, take the picks, trade the picks for Dvorak. Coyotes get their picks, Habs get their young top 6 center they've been looking for.

  6. Dvorak was a better player than Marner and tkachuk In London he has huge potential and is a huge upgrade from KK

  7. why dvorak. 2 first a prospect for sean monahan.

    Anderson-monahan-gallagher
    Drouin-suzuki-caufield
    Toffoli-Evans-Hoffman
    Armia- Paquette,poehling,perreault – Lekhonen

  8. I hope montreal dosent match and makes the deal of Carolinas 1st and 3rd for Dvorak, the press conference would be priceless , MB walks to the podium and thanks Carolina for the picks to make the trade for Dvorak possible and for helping montreal vastly upgrade the center ice position for next season . Lol

  9. I don't even remotely understand why the canes and people think this is remotely a middle finger to the Canadiens….the Canadiens get a 1st and 3rd if the Canes do this and then can just sign a guy like Dvorak……this is a landslide win in favor of Montreal.

  10. I mean, couldn't the cans juste negociate with him a contract lower than 6.1, not offer a qualifying offer and agree to sign the deal on the first of july? I don't know if there is a rule agaisnt that.

  11. I like KK but he was a big reach in the draft, passing on tkachuk was a huge mistake. I think dvorak is the better player and would put up better numbers on he Habs. That 6mill a year for kk is just way to much and it doesn't matter how young he is because he has to go so far in his game to make it worth it. Also If you pay him 6 mill what's suzuki get 10-11 mill a year ?

  12. Arizona got better hauls than a 1st and 3rd for worse players than Christian Dvorak. They'll have to sweeten the pot.
