  1. Giroux is 32 pounds lighter, but the announcers don't say anything about it… Only when a Senator is the lighter one (Neil)

  2. @BigHickey25 And Foligno is known as a tough guy ??? LOL slight edge Foligno in a fight between two non fighters, simple as that.

  3. y giroux fight here? the game is in the bag, why risk breaking a hand or finger? just my 2 cents.

  4. in 2 or 3 years giroux (who turned 23 last week) will be considered one of the top handful of offensive players in the NHL. his skills are scary. if he gets a little stronger and a little more confident, there is nothing stopping him. as a bruins fan Ive seen him play live 5 or 6 times in the last 2+ years. he gets noticibly better every time he steps on the ice.

  5. @EyesOfTheSouthSTi

Foligno didn't really land anything. The only punch that really landed flush to the face was Giroux's punch to Foligno at 16 seconds. Foligno maybe had one where he grazed Giroux's face but nothing really more than that. Foligno was more aggressive for sure but I would say the fight was at best a draw.

  6. @simplyphenomenalv1 back up his hit!? why would he need to do that!? the hit was absolutely beautiful and not even close to cheap.

  7. My ottawa senators are obiously the most ruggid team…..they had the epic fight with philly the epic fight with buffalo this fight with the other line brawl this same game (i waas there) and the binghamton senators have had millions of line fights and bench clearing with syracuse which i live in binghamton GO B-Sens GO O-Sens

  8. Besides having more teeth than Clark he has more talent. Now what he does with that talent is the question.

  9. @ensuboca I love seeing comments like this. Especially from a non-Flyers fan! Lol you're right. Claude is one scary talented guy. You guys have got a hell of a team too. You guys and the Rangers are gonna be tough to beat! =)

  10. hahaha yeah I totally noticed that as well, never seen a hockey player do it in an actual hockey fight tho, might have just kicked in as an instinct if he's used to doing mma on regular basis

  11. 3rd in points during the regular season, led in playoff points until about the last game of the Final even though the Flyers got knocked-out in the 2nd round, fights anyone who wants it, loves to take the body, has the craziest shifts, arguably the best playmaker in the league with his assists and physical play, and is only 23.

I'm sorry, he sucks? Please elaborate.

  12. finished 3rd in the league in points
    – 2nd in points per game

had 17 points in 10 playoff games this past year

averages over a point a game in his 50 career playoff games

is a great all around player on top of his great offensive skill
    – good defensively, regular on the penalty kill, plays physical …

if you are going to make such a ridiculous claim you need to give reasons to back it up, i could say malkin sucks, he clearly doesnt, i could day messi sucks, he clearly doesnt …

  13. but crosby beat up giroux? giroux has been in what 2 fights, and is ass. In the end of the day, Crosby 5'11" 200lbs, is bigger than Giroux 5'11" 170. Crosby is better than Giroux(stats only show) and Crosby is 100x more clutch than Giroux(Golden Goal), do i need to go into detail? pussy or not, crosby is better than giroux.

  14. So hella you think jail house criminals should be the idol of our kids? No wonder the country is screwed. The flyers are barely above the Islanders in being the worst in the NHL. What a joke they are.

  15. whats so ironic frank? i simply listed girouxs statistics to someone who said giroux sucked, i simple brought up how in his 1st year where he got 1st line min and PP time he put up 93 pts in 78 gmd and 17 pts in 10 playoff games … he also has 55 pts in 50 career playoff gms which stretches over several years when he was only a prospect playing small minutes

giroux had a disappointing year after that where he had 48 pts in 48 gms which is still good … give him time to get back in his game

  16. talk about man points. Giroux took on a guy almost twice his size and did pretty freakin well. Thats why i love this guy!
