  1. Love Krecji but no jersey retirement. We can't retire every player from the 2011 team and Chara, Bergy, and March are already getting theirs.

  2. Happy birthday LQBF, here’s to an great day for you!

I’m saying no to the jersey retirement for Krejci. Great player but doesn’t quite get into the group with Bergy, Chara and Marchand as true legends. It’s difficult but you can’t retire every number

  3. happy birthday, LQ Ian — I do think a whole bunch of the 2011 crew belong in the rafters, Krech most definitely. Many ppl seem to overlook the fact that DK46 sacrficed his individual stats for the entirety of the Cassidy era, given mediocre wingers and about 15 seconds per game of PP time. He never complained of it in public, being a team player & the higest paid player. And now ppl claim his stats don't make him worthy of same honors as Bergeron.

  4. Happy B-day!!! Was "missed it by that much" a Get Smart reference? I'm with you that he's close but not there. Not to say that we love him any less!

  5. Rask?!?!? The only way his number gets raised is it's smoke and ashes rising up from the burning jersey. 🤬

  6. I personally don't think he NEEDS a Jersey retirement only because I think guys like Marchand and Chara are slightly more deserving. However he is still a fantastic player who unfortunately went underappreciated by a lot of fans during his time.

Happy Birthday as well man! Enjoy you're day

  7. The fact that he went back home rather than play for another team and then came back when Cassidy was gone speaks to this man's impeccable character and loyalty to the B. That to me tips me to yes. That and it's easier to retire 46 than a low number.

  8. Happy Birthday! Great little episode, thanks.
Is the short shift pod done for good with B&G shutting down, or are you guys finding another production company?
    Have a great birthday! Cheers

  9. If Krejci goes in, Marchand and especially Rask have to go in. It's all three of them or none of them, although Marchy does have a leg up. He was a great Bruin, but he played at the same time as some of THE great Bruins in Bergy and Big Z

  10. Krejci was an absolute mainstay for the franchise. I think he just gets overshadowed by some of the other guys. If not for Bergy, I'm guessing we'd likely have him as a lock. But since he was 2c for a while, he didn't get the linemates that Bergy did but he quietly got the job done anyway. I say he goes to the rafters.

  11. Yay! Happy Birthday man!

Krejci shouldn’t have his number retired.
Marchand shouldn’t have his number retired.

I believe that we should only retire One of a Kind players. Bergeron, YES. Chara, well, can’t argue that one.

Rask? Given his Tenure, yes. Not many players will continue to last as long as he did.

Will we retire Pastrnak? If he continues on his ways, that will happen. We will eventually run out of numbers to retire. Every team will face these issues. As players continue to become greater and greater, numbers will become less and less in abundance.

This problem is something that has continuously troubled my mind. As, without triple digits. With numbers like 99 being retired in the entire league. McGoon is surely to be the next 99. Sad really.

  12. not trying to be a downer but could their number retirement hit a snag for both Rask & Krejci for a lack of better term, kinda quiting on the team. Obviously that shit is well in the past but not the greastest outlook at those moments

  13. Happy Birthday and great video as always LowQual! I love Krejci but I don't believe he should have his number retired. He was fantastic for us but I don't think he has the accolades to justify it. Still was an awesome player for a long time!

  14. Put it this way, if we weren't original 6, that number gets retired instantly. Since it's the Bruins, I say no, but that doesn't mean he wasn't absolutely phenomenal and that whole core was one of the best NHL teams and I'm glad I got to witness it for so long

  15. #1 Even Strength Goals in Bruins Playoff History. #1 in Game Winning Assists in the playoffs. Playoff Krejci was a force. Absolutely rafters-worthy.

  16. Happy Birthday dude, hope you had a great day!

Since 1993 only 6 players have led the playoffs in scoring more than once. Sakic, Forsberg, Malkin, Kopitar, Kucherov and Krejci all did it twice. He's in pretty good company. In 2013 when Krejci did it for the second time (26 pts), the next closest player was 7 points behind (Kane and Horton tied with 19 pts). In 2010 and 2011 he was made #1 C by default with the concussions Marc Savard suffered. For a spell tho, the center depth was Savard – Krejci – Bergeron.

He played his entire career with the B's, led playoffs in scoring twice, won a cup, sure he wasn't the best player that run with Thomas being a machine but Thomas couldn't score goals. With Savard out and expectations not being much, he delivered big time. With his body of work, for me it's a yes, retire 46.

  17. I also agree, if we wanted to be top 5 in all stats he could have played the year before last instead of running away from the bad man all the way to Europe. Love Krejci, but it's a no. Love Rask too, but no also. We will see what marchand and pasta do for the remainder and go from there. I also think Krejci was the highest paid player on the team for so long because he was forgoing stats and accolades as he played with nobodies. He's been compensated already and I would have to guess he's not torn up about it.

  18. Yeah I think Krejci and Rask are both on the cusp of having numbers retired but juuuust don't make it.

Marchand I think will get into the rafters if he keeps playing well over the next few years. Also happy birthday!

  19. I just keep thinking to krecji at the end of the 2019 final and how he mentioned the weight of realizing how it meant many of them may never play together again, or something to that extent. How right he was and how somber he was in saying so.

  20. pump the brakes; Krecji was consistently good and occassionally great. Very good, but not a rafter guy. NO WAY you put Rask up there without Cheevers being there first…Cheesie is the biggest rafter snub.
