Honestly I thought we were boring as hell last year and I hope some adjustments are made.
When you don’t have a game breaking scorer . . . it’s gotta be the best way to be successful . . .
It was really sad seeing Seider not be able to play the way he did his rookie season. He took risks which payed off because of his skill. It was like night and day to me for his play style. I dont blame Lalonde as it’s probably better for the team, but holy shit it was less entertaining.
I see why we have to play that way at the moment but in the long run I really hope that we find a more balanced system. As much as I want to see wins, we’ve played a lot of dull dump and chase hockey too.
With regards to Seider we (I) forget he’s a kid still particularly how defencemen age- look at Hedman and Dahlin took them 4 years. Everything being equal Seider in 2014-15 will be a man possessed sadly with the like of makar out there the Norris trophy may be a challenge for a bit. We will see though- I just hope he starts detonating guys more often now that the team is bigger he can do that with a bit more impunity
