We dodged a bullet with Max, and I truly feel sorry for the guy as I really liked him. :(

He needs to call it quits, donā€™t know how he got another contract

Iā€™m sure we did an evaluation with this same finding before we let him go.

Hate it for him, he seems like a class act.

Good on the team to not cave though.

Oh man I was rooting for him to have a good comeback year. Doesn’t mean it’s absolutely impossible, but it does sound like he’s gonna need to hang them up for his own long term health.

Man id love to make NHL money and not have to actually do anything. Jokes aside I wish him a speedy recovery and wouldnā€™t wish a torn acl on anyone

Very disappointing for the guy. I can only imagine how frustrating it is to be staring down the barrel of a career ended at his age

I was so excited for him joining the Canes. My wife bought our Youngest son a Jersey.

I wish him the best but I really think his NHL career is closing out soon.

I saw something about this yesterday, and I thought it was a nothingburger but I’m not a doctor. I just assumed after tearing the tendon again he would be out a solid year. I don’t know why people are surprised he’s not going to be ready by opening day, I guess – I figured 2024 at the earliest. Granted my layman expectation was probably wrong.
