I wonder if this is him telling them he won’t sign for less than x and they are mutually cutting ties or if they are being ignorant and just refusing to sign him at a decent deal that they could then look to earn some future prospects to after trading to a contender. I’d assume if chi gets bedard or fantili it could be excellent to have him there to help out with their transition too.

The Toew's era ended a while ago. Hanging on when you are but a shadow of what you were served only to tarnish his legacy.
