Ritchie is slow. I don't see him repeating the production rate again. Still not a bad signing.
I had Ritchie and Gabriel as my personal faves as possible sandpaper options for the Leafs and POW! Good job Dubas! I wish they would've retained Ritchie's rights afterwards though. Gabriel is going to surprise a few people. This was necessary as they have nobody else with bite in this line-up. Maybe Muzzin but that's it.
Nylander is a right winger. I agree, add another good D and this could be interesting.
Bruins are losing/dumping a lot of players. Looks like a lot of moves
Tavares and Marner need to be reunited this year, or we're just in for more of the same.
Nylander won't play on the same line as marner, the big 4 forwards will be 2 and 2 so it's making the left side look stronger than it is turning nylander to left wing. More likely is something like:
Ritchie- Mathews- marner
Kerfoot- Tavares- nylander
Soup- kampf- Simmonds
And the rest that you had on the board as it is.
they could win the presidents trophy and it won't mean a thing odds are they don't get out of the first round of the playoffs until then it's all window dressing
I disagree, the Leafs forward group is worse now and one injury to any 1 of the top 4 guys and they will have issues. They are not a top 3 team in the Atlantic in my opinion. If the big boys took less money, say 2 mil each on the cap hit they could actually add a dependable scoring wing after Marner and Nylander.
Leafs nation is all meh about the Ritchie signing. The hate they have for their team just won't stop. He's 26, had the same goals last year as Hyman, a few less assists playing down the lineup, all for a few hundred thousand more. This is a steal of a deal.

I’d like to see the Leafs add a Jordie Benn type defensemen this off season and then wait to see how the season unfolds leading up to the TDL. Bertuzzi was my off season target and if they can snag him at the deadline then great. Will need to move Kerfoot, Engval and/or Dermott to make the space.
Leafs did good replacing hyman with Richie and Kamf on PK. Kamf allows Kerfoot to play wing in an offensive roll, which plays to his stengths. Bunting replaces Galch. Kase instead of Thornton.
Very few if any weak spots in the forward group. Hopefully Roberston is our Caufield.

This is a nice addition for the Leafs but you have to keep him motivated is what I have heard about him….That defense looks porous.
