Not at all a surprise. When he put his black & gold career on the line, I had mad respect. We already knew he wanted to be a bruin for life from day 1. Jake told us directly at the very beginning of his career.
It got so nasty trashing Debrusk, I got off the internet for a couple of months just trying to talk facts.
Debrusk was calling out the coaching hypocrisies. "Do your job follow the system"
"'The system' was-every player competes for their position everyday- take nothing for granted"
Yet Cassidy left pastrnak failing on the top line, right after he lost his son-with his contract negotiations coming up that summer.
Cassidy refused to drop pasta down to the second line in 2019, when many of us wanted him gone, and again that season.
Look what happened when Cassidy was forced to comply with his own "system" -both Debrusk & Pasta's stats took off.
I don't think Jake deserved the trashing. He'll be giving a nice loyalty contract
The moment he put on black and gold, he basically said he was home, didn't want to play for another team if he could remain a career Bruin.
