[Vancouver Canucks] “He’s a competitor. He hates to lose. And that’s something I really like about him.” This week on #BuildingBlue, get to know Vancouver-born blueliner, Aiden Celebrini.”

EliteProspects 2023 NHL Draft Guide Report:

“Celebrini has the two main tools of the defensive defenceman – mobility and physicality. He closes down the space of attackers in the neutral zone and engages them quickly in the defensive zone. He’s aware. He scans for threats and denies lanes with his stick and defends the net front with his frame.”

Here’s my classic Vancouverite take on this:

Aiden will develop into a shut down D for the Canucks, only to have whatever team his brother ends up going to outperform the Canucks. Everyone in Vancouver will say Aiden wants to reunite with his brother since he’s enjoying more success. Who doesn’t love a brother headline?

If he can’t find regular icetime this season, it doesn’t bode well. He needs to claim a spot to start the season, otherwise his NHL projection goes from 6th round longshot, to “so you’re telling me there’s a chance”.
