A quick PSA for anyone who can’t pick up 34.1 over the air, or doesn’t want to fuss with an antenna.

For those of you who’ve cut the cord, and are not subscribed to a streaming plan that has the iON network, and you’re not interested in fussing with an antenna, this post is for you.

If you live in the VGK broadcast area, and you have a device that has GoogleTV, [click here for a list of devices](https://www.androidcentral.com/here-are-all-android-tv-devices-google-tv), you can live stream VGK games for free, home and away, on GoogleTV. The key is that GoogleTV will need to geo-locate your IP to the VGK broadcast region to get the iON feed with the games. So if you’re outside Nevada, Utah, Idaho, or some parts of Arizona, this won’t work.

The downside is that it’s a live stream only. There’s no DVR or VOD, so if you miss it, you missed it.

If you have a VPN and your service can put you on a server located within the VGK broadcast srea, you might be able to spoof your location and get the feed.

Hope this is of some benefit to someone. For what it’s worth, YouTubeTV includes the iON feed that has the games, and you can play them back later.

PS. The article I linked doesn’t mention one of the better devices that has GoogleTV. It’s called an Nvidia Shield. They’re great, but they’re also not the cheapest out there.

YouTube tv does have an ion channel but I didn’t think it has the games. Is that confirmed?
