  1. I thought you meant trade Carey Price lol, the Leafs will want Arber, they like Arber a lot, no way i would give Arber or Guhle.

  2. Yes, Caufield alone is to big a price. Maybe just some picks is what a Nylander is worth. No guarantee he will sign? Yeah? No.

  3. What makes me say no for nylander is the attitude he seems to be holding out on the leafs again and i say again because he did that with his first contract coming out of his rookie contract that screams like a big nope for me.

  4. Kent Hughes wouldn't trade Caufield for Marner or Suzuki for Matthews. Habs heading for a 25th Stanley Cup. No need to look elsewhere, solutions are in our backyard

  5. That's Madness, I wouldn't trade Caulfield for Nylander 1 for 1. I wouldn't even sign him in free agency. I think Leafs fans are nuts thinking that's even possible! The Hab's wouldn't offer anything near that for PLD and he's French and 6'3, never happening!

  6. Habs would have to overpay to get Willy out of Toronto, especially being a division rival. Makes 0 sense tbh. He would easily be there best player tho

  7. None of these 3 players make sense in a trade. Caufield? Hmmm no way Montreal trades him. Toronto is in win now mode so Guhle and Slaf make little sense. My offer to Toronto would be Matheson + Savard + Kidney + 2nd round pick.

  8. Crazy idea, that actually has merit:
Nylander may follow his ole assistant coach, Spencer Carbery, to Caps- play with Ovi & Backstrom

when Carberry was assistant coach the last two years for the Leafs, he was responsible for their franchise-record setting power-play, and Nylander's career-high 40-goal 87 point season.

Prior to Leafs, he was the AHL Hershey bears coach for the Capitals & knows those players and prospects

He is now back as bench boss of the Caps for the last two years of ovechkin's contract.

I think we're going to hear from the Caps this season.

I don't know if Nylander wants to move stateside. I could see it happening more toward winter trade deadline, but the Caps trades can be interesting-they surprised most when they picked up Max Pacioretty.

    How could they afford this?
NHL is full of funny money

They've accumulated first second and third round draft picks for next year, and I could see one of their goalies being traded.

Caps keep their business close to the vest

not saying it's going to happen, wouldn't be shocked if somehow Nylander found himself playing next to Ovi.

Play with someone who has a better NHL record than the longest Stanley Cup drought.

Leafs are a top revenue team. Caps are probably valued at about half of leafs franchise revenues

so the Caps locker room might not be as pretty 😊

  9. Sorry this trade will never happen Toronto fans,,Habs do not need Nylander,, Caulfield not going no where

  10. Lol im a toronto fan and theres no way montreal would trade any of those three players for nylander, let alone all three.

Trading away nylander would help sort out torontos cap, i dont think montreal would help that out at all. You will never get top dollar for a pending ufa. Part of what makes a player valuable is if they are outplaying their contract, and nylander has. Now though if he comes in at ten then hes not really outprpducing his market value anymore. Not to mention nylander could just walk and then habs would be left with a net negative.

Risk vs reward is way too high for montreal, it would need to be a sign amd trade scenario.
