Why would we not sign Kane? We made big play-off runs and won cups with a lot of players late in there careers. I don't see the downside at all. We need points and goals!!!! Kane will deliver that . I'm 100% behind it!
If Kane joined the wings, we'd have to give him his mouth guard back.
evan looks different from the front as apposed to the side
I'd like to see Kane and Alex on the same line
Tatar is better
Wings beat Toronto twice last year
Dont forget Lidstrom has predicted the Wings making the playoffs this year
My educated guess is Yzerman will be selling some of these FA pieces at the deadline for either playoff push stock or future drafts. Not all these contracts will be around by the deadline. All eyes are on the GRG making sure the youngest prospects can gel together so they can bring them up more than one at a time perhaps. Also as you guys stated having a quality injury backup is necessary to keep the push going. As far as Kane goes it's fingers crossed. Not something that needs to be overhyped until you hear more convincing evidence.
Kane signing is the step the Red Wings need to start to attract more high end talent. Its a great stepping stone
Kane signs, and we are guaranteed to make the playoffs.
Especially if he plays on the 1st line with Larks and Dcat.
I know backchecking will b weak, but thats why we have Mo and Wally
Detroit seems to be one of the few teams that actually would benefit from Patrick Kane. As they have so many young players that could really benefit from a creative playmaker as a bit of a mentor. And the risk of Kane being a high impact player or absolutely awful is well worth it to Detroit since they need some Hail Marys like that to land to make the playoffs this year.
Am I the only one that thinks Ryans intros are cringy?
The possibility that Patrick Kane could sign with Detroit this season. Imagine Raymond learning from Patrick Kane. He would be the perfect mentor. DeBrincat Larkin Kane
All-American line would be sick.
"…be more effective creating space for himself." This is where I really think Berggren accelerated, and Raymond kinda faltered last year. Raymond seemed to lock himself into a rather small chunk of ice a lot last year, but Berrgren used every inch of ice and in doing so, the other team lost sight of him often. I also feel that Raymond telegraphs his intent more than Berggren does.
Kane and Berggren I think would play well together Since Berggren can play either side.
Wings would benefit having Kane on the roster. Yes, he is a defensive liability. Yes, he was a POS 20yr old that did some bad things. If we want this team to be a competitive team, you go out and get a Patrick Kane. His vision, Hockey IQ, silky mits are all things that can help improve this team and teach to young players like Raymond, Berggren, and even Kasper if and when he makes the jump. We struggled on the PP and thats one area Patty Kane can help out as well.
I think Kane will either go home to Buffalo or want to come play with Debrincat. With this being the case, I’d much rather Kane be playing with Debrincat than opposed to our division rival
