  1. Sebastion Aho (Canes) took a puck to the face tonight, started leaking a bit, left for some stitches, and returned in the same period. Aho would go on to score in the game, but it was not enough to propel the Canes past the Isles in game 5. Not trying to say it was as bad, just driving home your point about hockey players!
Funny side note, both the Canes' Sebastion Aho and the Islanders' Sebastion Aho ended up in the box at the same time in the third. Now that's irony! 🤣

  2. I would put rugby players are right up there with hockey players. I've seen NBA guys get carried off the court because they had leg cramps, and I think we all know about soccer players who literally cry when they fall down. When I see a dude get back on the ice after sustaining that much damage, it makes me proud to be a hockey fan.

  3. To be fair he is tough for coming back but a hockey skate would have slashed him it probably didn't hurt that much. The blade is so sharp it just cut him wide open. They stich it up and what else is he going to do sit there? The next day or two is when the pain would show up. I have cut myself by mistake with a razor blade at work and didn't realize it until I touched something and there was blood all over it. I looked around for the source of the blood and found it all over me. Went and washed it off put some super glue in there to seal it, covered it with a bandage and went back to work.

  4. I was at the game in Detroit when Gerard Gallant accidentally stepped on Borje Salming’s face. Trail of blood from the goal to the bench. 250 stitches. Missed Salming’s eye, but so close.
