This Changed Everything..

OK Guys, it’s time to take a look at a moment last season that in my opinion changed everything. The entire reputation of the Montreal Canadiens changed from one single event during a game against the Arizona Coyotes. The moment Arber Xhekaj danced with Zach Kassian. Let me explain!

The articles that were in the video were screenshots from Habsfanatics.com, I highly reccommend you to check out this site for further Habs News,

Let me know whatcha think of this one down in the comment section!

  1. Arber Xhekaj makes a huge difference on the roster and that beating was def a defining moment.

  2. If the Habs trade this guy, i am going to be heart broken, I guess he's a defenseman, so we should be good! lol. My favorite Hab now.

  3. Actually, wieners bologna and bacon are extremely healthy foods. Meat is the most nutrient dense food on earth.
I am concerned about him eating oats. Our ancestors were hunting mammoths 30,000 years ago, not rolling oats.

  4. I would love to see another legit fighter for the habs… he can’t fight every night ….. but hey…. I’ll be watching every night just in case

  5. St-Louis: "You cheap son of a bitch. Are you crazy? Those guys are retards!"
Hughes: "I got a good deal on these boys. The scout said they showed a lot of promise."

  6. Montreal need to sign hime long term. He makes the rest of his team play without looking over their shoulders making them have neck cramps. The opposing players will think that a cathether shoved up their wiener would be less painful.

  7. I was at the game where jackeye (i know i misspelled it) absolutely went beast mode on kassian! WHAT A GAME!

  8. We need Wifi , loves the guy. Look what our d is going to look like in 2-4 years, d pair 1- Guhle-Mailloux, pair 2 Hutson-Reinbacher, pair 3 Xhekaj-Harris. 7th D -Engstrom. The physical play alone from Guhle & Mailloux and then come back with Xhekaj on the next shift. We are going to be a hard team to play very soon.

  9. Been a Habs fan before I was out of diapers. Xhekaj is exactly what the Habs have needed. Had work, dedication, good teammate, and a beauty of a person. He should be a Hab for life!

  10. There's no doubt that Xhekaj brings a unique and valuable skill set to the Habs. There's also no doubt that his unique skill set has been duly noted by the other teams in the Division. Toronto and Ottawa brought in players over this past summer, primarily in an effort to counter Xhekaj's 'presence' on the ice. Even Boston brought back Milan Lucic. My concern is that the Canadiens do not have enough players on their current roster to counter what other teams have done. Everyone acknowledges that Xhekaj is more than capable of defending himself and his teammates, but he shouldn't be placed in a situation where he's shouldering more than his share of the 'heavy lifting'. And while Pezetta is always willing to 'go to battle', the unfortunate reality is, Pez is not in the same 'weight class' as players such as Ryan Reeves, Simon Benoit, Milan Lucic, Scott Sabourin, Brady Tkachuk, etc. Last season demonstrated that beyond his pugilistic abilities, Xhekaj has significant value to the Habs as a defenseman. Arber has legitimate hockey skills. And it will be difficult for him to hone his hockey skills, if he's spending an increasingly significant amount of time in the penalty box, or worse still, on injured reserve. The Canadiens need to bring in at least one more player who can assume the role of team 'protector' & pugilist. Not a 'goon', but a player who can play on the bottom six, and be called upon, when necessary, to assume that role. And while Anderson and Dach are capable of doing the job, both Dach and Anderson are far to valuable to the Habs on the ice, than to be spending extended periods of their time in the penalty box, or injured. The Habs need to bring in a player with a 'profile' such as Tanner Jeannot, or Nicolas Deslauriers, who could effectively assume the role required. It will be interesting to see how (or if), Hughes addresses this need prior to the start of the season.

  11. Some guys are big but they don't look that strong on the ice. Joel Armia and Kaapo Kaako are examples amongst others. Other guys are small but boy are they strong. Tie Domi and Marty St-Louis were good examples of that. Arber has both the size and the strength and, most of all, he seems to enjoy using both of these assets! He's a beast! I hope Florian is just as willing as his brother!

  12. Let's hope Arber gives a few lessons to the young kids coming up! If all guys on the team develop the "This is my house" attitude, watch out for the Habs in 3 to 4 years!

  13. I think its gonna be pretty tough for him in the Atlantic division now. He's gonna have a couple of pretty hard client to face with the comments he made

  14. Momma Xhekaj needs to take in Lane Hutson and start feeding that kid and maybe a few other hab prospects.

  15. Arber has made his point and made the team ..Now he needs to reduce fighting and intimidate with physical checking …Also play his smart game with the puck ….Fighting got him hurt last season and he is needed on the game card and not in the hospital …

  16. Arby is our savior, he will protect our young talents and also knows how to play hockey, i expect 10 goals and 30 points for him, this coming season.

  17. im an avs fan but even i remember his rise last season, it was a shame he got hurt. you love to see a kid like this.

  18. He's better than top six, he hasn't scratched the surface in the NHL yet, obviously. But, he will be one of those oddities that can do it all as a middle pairing; think Mailloux and Xhekaj. But also, think about how strong their third pairing is going to be. This team is so stacked on D that they will be able to cash in for needs in the near future, starting next season. I think that the only thing they can do with Matheson is listen to the highest bid for a cup contender. Manage and find a way to keep the best pieces, it's going to be a task, but they need to develop every single one of these players into an asset. What they will get back will keep them competitive for the next 20+ years. They're built on a very solid D foundation right now, but balance is within reach.

  19. I like that the team is getting beefier. It's no secret that certain american teams can get away with murder against canadian teams. Plus, some fuckers obviously have a thing against MTL like Chris Lee, O'Rourke, Saint-Laurent, Lambert to name a few. Resulting in record breaking amounts of injuries the last few seasons. It's about time that this team starts protecting itself. Call me old school, but there are no better way to keep your players healthy than the threat of being sent to the hospital if you cheapshot one of our guys!
