TNT plans to make NHL games available on HBO Max this season for free initially, then an additional charge in early 2024.

>When WBD revealed the new-look Max (formerly HBO Max) in April, it indicated that it would reveal plans for live sports streaming at some point this year. The company airs NBA, MLB and NHL games across its linear networks and, according to Bloomberg, it has been working with the leagues to determine if it has the rights to stream the games as well.

>The report suggests that Max may offer live sports to subscribers at no extra cost until February or March before WBD starts requiring users to pony up more cash for them. That’s because the March Madness college basketball tournament is one of the biggest sports events of the year and WBD may feel that could help it to get users to pay a premium for live sports on Max.

Apparently it’s not 100% final that every single game TNT and TBS carries will be on HBO Max, so we’ll need to see the exact details once the company makes an announcement.

Assuming NHL games are included, the Winter Classic will be part of this streaming plan.

Anyone using Fubo TV to get Root may want to consider this to get access to TNT games if you’re willing to pay the extra cost. Unless you want to watch games from around the league it may only be worthwhile to subscribe during the playoffs.

I’ll just keep hoping my ATT cell own comes with HBO Max, then….

No extra cost. Then a moderate cost. Then keep pushing until you reach the limit of what most people will pay. Oh and make multiple games exclusive to streaming.

This is great as Fubo does not have tnt. Boom.

I’m just going to live the pirates life until they offer a reasonably priced streaming service for 90% of the games.

I will be happy if this happens because I am a MAX subscriber who has FUBOTV and I don’t get any WBD content w FUBO.

In the past I have had to add Sling to get TNT and TBS games.
