Replacing gRyan Graves and Damon Severson have two straight forward answers: Kevin Bahl and Luke Hughes. The question becomes who is best to serve on the second pairing with John Marino? Stylistically, the Devils could create a dominant defense combination with Bahl and Marino, or give Luke Hughes a trusteed anchor allowing the offensive minded young player to use his speed and dynamic playmaking.
Beyond, or specifically behind the defense the guys also discuss Vanecek and Schmid, who deserves to start the season and ultimately who will get plugged in as the primary anchor between the pipes.

Drove me nuts when Holtz was healthy scratched. Agree it would be great for Nemec to join the team next year..one new defense for now and it's Luke.. there's been some huge departures and I hope the team can jell immediately but if not, we may need to be a little patient and realize we may not go 65-10-7 although it would be great ❤ LFGD 💥
