Jacques Plante over Roy and Dryden is certainly a take

I wouldn’t even choose that Leafs team if I was looking for a cup of coffee

Lol c’est même pas une vraie question la
Go_Habs_Go31
The best reply I saw to this was: “You could replace Maurice Richard with Joel Armia and I’d still take the Canadiens”
Manofoneway221
Sundin was PPG in a much more skilled and competitive NHL I don’t know if our legends could keep up with him
Dull-Objective3967
No team maybe a part from the oilers or islanders dynasty compare to the legends habs have had.
Commandant1
Should be Doug Harvey.
sebass_kwas
You could probably show me the Habs 2nd or 3rd teams behind the starting 6 above and I’d take them over the leafs 1st All Time team lol
Brentijh
Harvey over Savard. Not sure I want the rocket and Guy on the same line
Brentijh
What era for rules? Do I want Ferguson or Nilan for some protection or do we just stick with Robinson
OffersNoExplanation
The Habs could probably make 10 of these and I’d take them every time.
WeathervaneJesus1
Are these guys playing against players in today’s game? If so, I’m not taking any of those guys other than maybe Sundin because they’d all get wiped. Those guys were elite in their era, but they wouldn’t even be 4th liners today.
FlashyChapter
Honestly the Canadiens could probably ice a team B and C after this group and I’d still bet on them.
brasseur10
Habs probably have 10 goalies better than the Leafs all-time best goalie.
rontzeeez
All 6 of the Habs are better than the Leafs ones lol

Need Price in there

This is a troll job if I ever saw one
Ilkley_dipper
That Leafs team in their prime wouldn’t beat the Canadiens in their retirement years
imyourzer0
This is a joke. I would easily take the Canadiens’ B team: Henri Richard, Bob Gainey, Boom-Boom Geoffrion Guy Lapointe, Doug Harvey Ken Dryden
Or even their C team: Frank Mahovlich*, Toe Blake, Yvan Cournoyer Chris Chelios, Andrei Markov Patrick Roy
*I’d happily replace Mahovlich (who also played for the Leafs) with Bob Gainey, Howie Morenz or Elmer Lach to settle any debate. The two teams’ all-time lists aren’t really that close🤷🏻♂️

Dave Keon, a key to the last Leafs Cup, was native to Quebec. I wonder how the Habs missed picking him up.
