Today we’re talking about the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, and some of the 2020 NHL top prospects. By top, we mean, literally at the top of the draft, as today we’re discussing the possibilities for the New York Rangers, who hold the 1st overall pick, assigned at the phase 2 2020 NHL Draft Lottery.
It’s the age-old question, who’s going 1st overall? Well, in this video, we’re discussing the idea on whether or not Alexis Lafrenière, the Rimouski Océanic star, could actually go 2nd overall, and that the Sudbury Wolves star centreman Quinton Byfield could go 1st overall instead.

The Rangers are drafting Lafreniere. The gap between Lafreniere and everyone else in the draft is vast. Lafreniere will be elite. Rangers are not trading that pick.

Here's the thing, we all know the rangers aren't picking Byfield first BUT if they think they need a center more than a great player like lafreniere then they would trade the pick to LA. If they're looking to trade back its a win win cause either you trade back, get Byfield and some assets. Or la fucks up and takes Byfield and you get lafreniere and assets, regardless taking Byfield number 1 is stupid on every level possible
The content of this video is just idiotic. Who in their right mind would trade a first round 19 year old potential superstar for a top center? Never in their long history did the Rangers organization have had the opportunity to draft a first rounder that plays like Crosby, and now this dope wants the Rangers to trade their “golden goose” away.

As a Rangers fan I'll tell you this. We are picking Laf. After that we're trading for a Center. Hertl/Cirelli is who I hope we chase. Yes there's a log jam at LW . Krieder will drop to the 3rd line pretty soon

Personally, I don't even have Byfield #2. I have Stutzle over Byfield. And if Ottawa only had the 3rd overall pick, I would even have Drysdale over Byfield (more based on team needs as I feel Ottawa needs a D man more than a C)

The only slightly possible thing if they really want Byfield would be trading down and getting something else plus Byfield at no.2. No way the pick him 1st. That‘s like 1 for 1 trading McDavid for Eichel. Eichel is great but for McDavid, you need to get more than that

Lafreniere is going to be a ranger,and the only way it might happen is a team offering all of its stars,and very high 1st round picks like at least 3 of them,in the top 5,In other words,king's ransom plus. You are going to overpay,for like 3-4 years of your team's future,for me to just listen. If not that's fine,Alexis will be a ranger,for a very long time,and torture the NHL,for over a decade,and we also have other very good reinforcements.
