To answer the question, if proven true I don’t think much would happen, Jackets have already decided to commit to Babs and that won’t stop them.

Everyone remember that while it appears Biz is off base on this one, there is a history bad enough for everyone to do a double take the minute Babcock’s name was mentioned in this story. Babcock’s MO is the long game mindfuck. He’s destroyed several players in his career (Johan Franzen comes to mind). I can see where guys like Biz are paranoid about him. The burden of “I’ve changed” falls on Babcock, and this wasn’t a good start given his history.

I look at it like this, even if the information provided from Biz was accurate he’s lost a lot of credibility and trust from his pro hockey friends and followers by sharing this information. Do you think anyone will ever share insider information again? Why did he feel compelled to share this with everyone? A phone call to the NHLPA should have been initiated and let them do their job. Biz being Biz the need to be front and centre.
