In a reflex test with any male when almost struck in the groin you would curl and turn to protect themselves naturally. Not just in footy but in general. If He didn’t curl he would’ve willingly been struck in a vulnerable part of his body and naturally any of us standing or in mid air (been to a trampoline park before?) would try to avoid that lol
