The Winnipeg Jets have named their 3rd captain in Jets 2.0 history, and it is Adam Lowry. It seemed like the only 2 candidates for the C were Lowry, and Josh Morrissey. Morrissey had a great season last year, and broke out as an elite defensemen. Lowry, was often invisible last season, but came through late in the season to push the Jets into the playoffs. Fans seemed to be torn on the decision, but in this video I explain why I think it was the right one.

I believe this was the right choice for the Jets. He always plays the right way for the team. Morrissey could’ve got it for sure. However, I don’t want Morrissey’s production and overall game to decline because of the added pressure
I'm happy it's Lowry! Morrissey would have been good too
But it shows Lowry played SwiftCurrent and Morrissey PrinceAlbert 2 guys who care most played WHL.
Both then played IceCaps/Moose in system. Outside winnipeg It might be shock to people but Lowry would be an asset on every team in NHL.
I hope are career Jets.
Lowry's numbers could go up if could finish on alot of those games he didn't score. Would be cool to see him even is 4th liner later in career play with next core Barlow,Mcgroarty,Lucius, Lambert ect.
hey may have went 42 games without a goal but he still did exactly what hes paid to do. fight, pk physicality. hes everything this team needs and hes the identity of this team! love josh so much but lowry is all around a better captain due to what he does besides offense
