Bonino scores after kicking call reversed on review

Nick Bonino scored a goal after the puck bounced off his skate but the score was waved off. After a lengthy review, the call was reversed to give the Predators a 1-0 lead over the Avalanche.

  1. This is the only "goal" Trashville could score at home against an avs team crippled by injuries 😂

  2. It looked to me like his foot was on the ice and that’s one thing they’ve been consistent with if your foot is on the ice it’s a redirection not a kick. Good goal IMO.

  3. Unbiased Pens fan and that's clearly a good goal. He never kicks it towards the net, just extends his foot forward to redirect it.

  4. Good Goal but with all the bullshit goaltender interference calls this season … who knows anymore

    That’s not a full distinctive kicking motion…
    It’s more of a deflecting motion…
Kicking motion is like a soccer free-kick

  5. Well, he didn't kick it right? He just changed the angle of his skate. At first I thought it wasn,t a goal but man, he didn,t kick it!

  6. Still don't like this goal even after the fact the games over. I understand it's not actually a kicking motion, but the way it's directed into the net like that doesn't seem fair, maybe if it went off the post or off the goalie but straight into the net don't agree with it being a goal.

  7. They have to change the rule to if a player clearly moves his skate to hit the puck it is no goal. Screw the kicking motion bs. Goals should not be allowed off a skate unless a player is in normal skating motion or not purposefully moving his skate to meet the puck. Glad they didn’t lose the series on that bs, and I am not a fan of either team.

  8. this rule needs to be changed. it's way harder to kick a puck in than to shoot it in. just allow all goals to count off a skate and it makes it a lot simpler.
