This was interesting. So many outlets talk about trading Carey Price (his contract). How can that work? I see that Ottawa Senators are close to the cap, have no LTIR candidates, and still need to sign five NHL contracts. Carey Price would be useful for them. Price & Pinto can be the starting point of a trade.

Great points within your video Coach on the Prospects. Invisible (offensively) on Friday, Joshua Roy and Mysak were much more assertive on Saturday along with Mesar switching from winger to center. . Mailloux settled down and had a stronger game looking more comfortable with Struble.. Pairing Struble with Mailloux was a good decision, as the two did a fairly good job at both ends of the ice. Joshua Roy was engaged and showed his accurate shot. Nice performance from Quentin Miller in net. Good tracking of puck. Cheers

Great video Coach. I agree with many of your points. Patience is the name of the game. The rookie camp is just a glorified practice(s) where the future is full view and coaches can properly gauge how to move forward with player development so that players have a directed series of goals to work on. With regards to Price I believe it is a good thing to rid yourself of $42 million dollars. Habs will not really add any UFA's this year (maybe summer of 2024) so why not ensure that LTIR spots are reserved? Also he can really be traded anywhere because receiving team will only put him on their LTIR so does not matter what their current cap space is. Other teams will want picks or prospects, all of which Montreal has.
Just goes to show we put alot into building our D propspect pool, our offensive pool on the other hand seems to be filled with eventual 3rd-4th liners

I would keep Carey Price; if he does well, then trade him at the deadline to a Stanley Cup contender. Price deserved the opportunity to end his career with a Stanley Cup ring.
In my opinion, we have the right draft picks for future D-men. Whereas, our lack of elite drafted talent at "center" in Laval requires future draft-work and/or more trades in my opinion.
Both games, Friday and Saturday, looked to me that the experienced players played not to be injured. Tentative play by the second year rookies is guarding themselves against injuries. Saving themselves for the big show at the Montreal Main Camp appeared to me to be their only desire in my opinion.
