This year was suppose to be a year we made moves to push this team to the top with all the cap space. This has turned into a nightmare. Oilers media in full damage control now. Sad that Mcdavid and Draisaitl have to deal with this mess. If Nurse was smart he would leave at the end of his contract.

Seems like a classic Oilers scouting fail that we passed on Wallstedt, who was gifted to us at 19. Almost everyone had him as a top 10. He and Cossa are both NHL starters. Skinner/Konovalov might only be an NHL backup, if that, for all we know. Why pass up on a sure thing when goaltending is our big issue ? For Xavier Bourgault and a 3rd? I'm unimpressed. Can't the Oilers do anything right? It's so hard being a fan of this team.
Bob Stauffer bragging about how we drafted Nuge, Drai, Mcd, and Nurse. Any idiot could have done that. They were all obvious first rounders. How about find us a "steal" in later rounds like Tampa has, and develop them?

The moment Holland said the Keith signing wasn't a numbers deal, I literally fell to the floor and remained in the fetal position for several days.
I remember his draft. There was still belief for Oilers fans that they could keep winning cups. 🤔
