I realize we’re still about a year out from seeing any type of 50th anniversary concept from the team, but the Bruins’ centennial release had me feeling creative. Here’s a logo concept for the Caps’ 50th that I’ve put together. While gold isn’t exactly part of the brand palette, I added an option with some shiny stuff.

Looks great! I think some palette swaps like the original 1974 colors and RR 2.0 colors would be interesting to see.
To be fair, you’d have to add PG County to the background shape.
The eagle reminds me of Porky Pig popping out of the Warner Brothers logo. …or “Here’s Johnny!” from the Shining.
