I just looked at our training camp roster. We have more good players than jobs. The roster is full of talent and we're sitting here today with the coach who was the 2nd choice for the job. Jarmo took a chance and it obviously failed but Jarmos built a team flush with talent. No way would i bring in someone else who might blow everything up and change this direction we're headed in.
If you fire Kekalainen then where does it stop? He wasn't alone in deciding to hire Babcock nor was he alone in defending him. Should Jenner remain as captain? Him standing up to publicly to defend Babcock doesn't look very captain like right now. Should Davidson keep his job? People like Babcock make a life out of tricking good people into thinking they are OK when in reality they are horrible. Just be happy that Babcock has cast a shadow over his entire career and hopefully this is enough that he is never allowed into the hall of fame.
What really makes me dislike JK is his awful CAP management.
I think you said it right they can’t fire him right now. I think we have to take this slow because you can’t leave a gaping hole in the front office that you don’t want to rush and get the wrong GM to replace him either. You’ve gotta do your due diligence and bring in the right guy that will help the team more than just finding a warm body to put in the position.
I go bigger picture. I'm a little surprised that the franchise is not in financial trouble. It has been horrible run since day-1 over 20 years ago. The tickets cost a pretty chunk of money. The beer costs an arm and a leg. And there is no hope of getting so much as a sniff of the Stanley Cup in the foreseeable future. I don't see the incentive to support them. I supported them for 15 years then one winter day I looked at their season won-loss record and asked myself "Why am I bothering with them?". That sentiment makes more sense now than ever.

To be clear, our player did not go to Paul B, they from out about it from a younger player on another team that was our player's friend. This is a perspective issue, an older player or an older person has no real issue with showing pictures on our phones. My teenage son would never want to do it.
