9.25m is absolutely foolish on a team with Draisaitl at 8.5m. Especially when he frequently gives up on the play defensively. Oilers need to drop him immediately.

He is a good guy and and a decent player. But his contact heavily hamstrings the team to get more help. He and Eckholm weren't enough. In a perfect world we would have a true number 1 d-man for 6-7 per and Nurse would be tird on the depth chart. Eckholm is better, and look at his contact.
Ah…in a salary cap world, the 2 mill we OVERPAY ANNUALLY could have shored up the d and improved goaltending SOONER and maybe we would be already SIPPIN’ from the silver🤷♂️🤦♂️🙄

As an oilers fan Ik everyone loves nurse. But this contract he demanded hurts the team so bad that it hurts his reputation as well. He was one of the guys pouting about not winning and threatening to leave the team and in the end he hasn’t pulled up half his own weight. He talks a massive talk but he hasn’t shown that he can match the walk too. If we don’t win the cup before his contract is up a huge portion of the blame belongs on him
