  1. big questions for the leafs will be their defense. nylander should be traded for a half decent stay at home defenseman. the type of player lacking on the leafs to help them in the playoffs

  2. What Toronto Media seems to forget is that Nylander has not signed yet. The signals that they are sending are disrespectful to Nylander's talent. What would happen if you put Marner in the same type of situation, making him play on the 3rd line? Do you really think he would produce better than Nylander? Hockey players are humans, too, and the way that you are treated is important. I have a hard time believing that Nylander does not feel mistreated compared to Matthew, Tavares, and Marner. I also do not understand how Toronto Media can call them core four and bundle Nylander into ā€œwe are paying the top four guysā€. The correct description is, at the moment, top 3. If you do not want to pay him, trade him instead of this circus. If he resigns with Toronto, it will be like a couple where they are still together even though they both know that one party has been unfaithful. In Media's analysis, you are always missing the human side of things.

  3. Someone tell Bumkiss there are 32 NHL hockey teams…and half of them are really good. "the all in season" is every year you're in the top half. What? They didn't win last year so you're apathetic? Guy take a big eff off will ya. Worst friggen hockey "analyst" in "broadcasting"…I'm here to listen to Bourne…please keep "Sammy, the Kyper lap dog" and "Mewl face Bumkiss" content to a minimum SN…for God's sake…please. When did "guy with a mic" become a criterion for being a hockey analyst? Jeezus H Christmas!

  4. Such a weird view on Nylander being tried at center. To me it clearly looks like a case of them genuinely believing in/wanting him as a center, and as a way of showing Nylander that there's room to grow in Toronto. To think that they are trying him there, hoping that he will do poorly, so he loses bargaining power is ludicrous. Like he would just go back to the wing for the remaining 75 or so games and be one of the best wingers in the league again, and his agent would die laughing if Treliving said "no, we can't pay him that much because remember that he wasn't great at a position he wont play again".

  5. Calling the replacements a C or D movie is criminal, had to shut it off after that take. All credibility gone
