As far as Stamkos is concerned, if he and his reps have already expressed interest to open talks and the organization flat out ignored that request, it's very telling. He should look for another organization that could use his services. How can front office be too busy to pen in a phone call or in person conversation about where they see their player in their future plans? I think his response here is pretty tame. The guy was the face of the franchise for so long they can't set aside an hour out of the day to talk? Unforgivable, imo. Come to Toronto and take a home town discount. I'm sure they will make room for him.
Could Stamkos be a trade deadline pickup for the Leafs?
Maybe it's to up his value since #1 centers are more important then wingers.

Why bring all the guys back haven't you seen enough just let him go he's not built for playoffs. Half of the players in the league can have a good regular season go grab a better player

Looking at the projected lines for the Leafs, there’s no way Lafferty is playing in a 2nd line role. He’s good but not like that. Nylander’s line will be deployed as the 2nd line
