After last season the Calgary fans needed this kind of preseason home game. I’m a flames fan, this is pre season and nothing matters.
Also: I understand it was mostly the regular flames roster but getting our top prospects some confidence early on could be huge for us going into this season.

It was boring game today
The Canucks were asking to lose tonight when they iced that lineup. Except for Hirose and maybe Mcward the defence really looked atrocious. Hopefully we see a more decent lineup when the Canucks face the Oilers.
The 3:20 mark of the video mentions Silovs' having allowed 4 goals on 10 shots. I counted 5 UGLY goals he'd allowed of 7 he did allow and 1 of 3 that Sawchenko allowed was ugly. I could use UGLY to describe how overall the game went for the Canucks.
Flames' fans probably feel good tonight about that game but the prospects the Canucks allowed to play by and large faltered so much that most of them will be lucky to make the roster for the opening game of the 2023-24 regular season. There is no doubt the test was an EPIC fail lol.
