    Just watched the video of the kid at the redwings game getting cheers and canucks fans getting boos. One of the more wholesome moments from last year. Canucks fans were very good sports.šŸ˜‚

    Excuses excuses , the Jets played against a NHL full lineup in the first game minus McDavid and Draisaitl ,the jets only had two lines that had NHL guys but their fourth line of Namestnikov kapari and Barron weā€™re better than a Scheifele line I thought, and thatā€™s saying a lot considering how deep the Jets are now thanks to the dubious trade. Draisaitl, and mcdavid are not enough and canā€™t do everything , vegas proved that, they are nothing without them

    They got shelled, but fortunately their head coach dressed a few depth veteran roster players so they wouldn't get completely embarrassed. I can only imagine how bad the score would have been if they hadn't dressed any roster players…

    Jets are just deeper this year not less dress vets they have 6 lines deep. No ptos cause they wouldnt make the team

    Q did deliver flowers and called the captain John Luck Pickurd, just to F with him. So maybe yes, on the Star Trek.

    As for Logan Stanley, how long are we going to justify keeping him on the ice if he can't evolve his game? What are they seeing in practice that we aren't seeing in NHL games? In fact, he was the reason for hte Oilers only goal in that first game. He lost his man falling back on a rush and turned around to see him putting the puck away. Not a great start for our favorite giant. To be fair, he tossed it in and earned a decent assist on a Gus tip-in. It's still early yet.

    ETA. That first goal was exactly the statement Jets fans wanted to see from Vilardi, considering how he might fit on that top line. And he is LITERALLY between the two, a nifty backhand pass straight across to KFC, and in. Welcome to the first line, Vilardi.

    I have followed the Jets since '72 WHA. This is the first time I have seen them roll 4 quality forward lines to start the season. They are supposed to wind up 5th or 6th according to all the channels averaged out. We shall see how the season unfolds, but I can see the Jets aren't going to be fun to play against this year.

    Glad Brossoit is back, he and Hellsy are a good tandem. He's 27, just hitting his prime as a goalie and could take over the starter position if Hellebuyck is traded sometime this season, which is a high possibility. And he has a Stanley Cup ring now, not many Jets players have been able to make that claim.

    Main things I see is that Brossoit is showing he shouldn't have been let go by Chevy a few years ago. Barron is continuing to shine, reminds me of Lowry. Vilardi looks like he's fitting in well. Stanley is looking as out of place as ever. Namestnikov might even find himself on the 2nd line if the Jets can't sort out their center position.
