  1. I hope Kane goes to Buffalo. It will make that card with Kane as a kid in the stands (1994-95 Pinnacle Sylvain Turgeon #288) go FULL CIRCLE! If you don't about this card, google it. Its pretty amazing to see a future Superstar as a kid on a NHL card with hid dad in a Sabres jersey.

  2. I would LOVE to see Kane in the Winged Wheel this year, personally. Think it would put the Red Wings firmly in the playoffs. However, I think Buffalo is where he actively tries to get himself signed.

  3. I would love to have him on the Avs. Without Landy we can use all the leadership we can from a strong veteran like him whose won a cup, and it would put him at a better chance at competing

  4. I could see him going to the Oilers if they had some fancy way to adjust salaries. Think he'd love to play with 97.

  5. The Oilers don't need him, they need a proper defender or two. Can't see him signing before December, he needs to see which teams are doing well and likely to make a deep playoff run.

  6. As a lifetime Sabres fan, I recently changed my tune about him coming to Buffalo. If we move Olofsson and end up signing Kane… I truly think that could be a best case scenario for both sides. Kane alongside Cozens or Thompson? Come on. Mere weeks ago I was against it thinking he would block rookies but if we replace Olofsson with Kane, that's a huge upgrade with a ton of experience, playoff and otherwise. I think bringing 88 home could literally be an X-factor for a team that is somehow filled with X-factors. Bet on the Sabres!

  7. even ignoring the obvious cap issues, the only spot for him would be taking Cousins place next to Tkachuk & Bennett. If Cousins cannot cut it maybe we take a chance on him, but I think he ends up in Buffalo.

  8. I would love to see patty kane in an oilers uniform but unless they sign him for league minimum they would have to move stuff around.

  9. Kane is my favorite player around the league thats not on my team. If he comes to the Oilers that would be so sick

  10. Kane already won the cup twice now he has a chance to play for buffalo if i were kane id go home now if he never had won a cup id go to florida instead of home

  11. This will be interesting, but to me if 88 wants another cup to his name, I think he should go with the Oilers and play with 97.. like 91 97 88 on the same line OMG that's a organism right there.. and if 88 does go with the Oilers why not play with the best player in the NHL right now while he's still in him Prime to do so..

  12. Offense isn't the Oilers problem. However, the other side to the argument with Kane going to the Oilers (which will never happen) is that Kane would further add to the offense which might be enough on a nightly basis to compensate for the bad defense and or goals against the Oil can never seem to escape. Though the Oilers are not the worst in the league with goals against, it's mind boggling to think that even with McDavid and Leon lighting the lamp every night the Goals For always seems to respectfully squeak by the Goals Against numbers. That's how bad the Oilers' D is. Therefore, adding Kane (if Kane was firing on all cylinders) would create significantly more daylight between Goals For and Goals Against, to a point, where Oilers fans would no longer give a crap about how bad the D is. That's where I can see Kane paying off in dividends. The gamble is, if Kane is a bust, the Oilers are in a much much deeper hole right across the board. Final analysis? The Oilers acquiring Kane is big risky bet. The safer bet is to keep it simple, not complicate things and get another shut down D.

  13. Come to Boston p kaner. We’ll put you on a line with pasta.

  14. Buffalo seems to be the most logical & most likely place overall, but I still like to see him go to the Panthers, what a team!

  15. What this boils down to is what Kane wants to close out his career with. If he wants to win another cup, then why would he sign with the Sabres? That’s no disrespect on Buffalo but they are aren’t exactly head and shoulders ahead on cup odds. Beyond that it’s about local loyalty and the like. If you’re linking him with Sabres then you could probably link him with several other teams that won’t go on to win the cup. So essentially it’s just opinion at this point. Florida is more likely at this stage but it’s not that binary. Why boil it down to two teams if his stock is that high?

  16. Interesting and all, but I think you hold Patty Kane in a little bit too high of regard for where he might rank among all-time best American born players…

  17. As a Buffalonian I can say with this and I'm speaking for everyone that lives here Kane stay THE FUK OUT OF BUFFALO THIS AINT YOUR HOME NO MORE WE DONT WANT YOU BACK HERE

  18. Patrick Kane to the oilers would not fix hardly any of the Oilers “problems” sure it would add some scoring depth which they need badly, but without a defense and a subpar goalie that is hardly going to matter come playoff time.

  19. The real question is what is he gonna sign for and for how long. I don’t think anybody’s taking him over 5 AAV but it could be smart for him to sign something like 3.5 for 4 years with an up n coming team like Buffalo or Detroit

  20. After all of those years destroying Vancouver in the playoffs except 2011 he takes his talents to Hollywood North 😂

  21. "we won't be seeing him doing any spinorama backhanders or heartbreaker celebrations, he's not gonna be that Patrick Kane"

Kane has 2 spinorama goals in his career, and the 2nd one was 2 seasons ago w the broken hip. he just had a goal in the playoffs w an even more broken hip that was one of the best plays of his entire career. and he still celebrates like mad and will score huge goals. he will absolutely do that level of celebration again if he scores another OT winner in the playoffs. the flashy superstar big play player will remain, if the surgery was successful. there is no other version of Kane.

"his time in NY was a disaster"

he was their best forward in the playoff series, their only fwd with 6 points who wasn't a minus, and in the two elimination games had more ixG in both games than any other LINE on the team. also more ixG than Jack Hughes in the elimination games. also had more points than Hughes and the same +/-.
