Connor Bedard assisted on the game winning OT goal for the Blackhawks pre-season opener and this video breaks down Bedard’s game in more detail. #hockey #nhl #connorbedard
That's not a nice "saucer pass" it was wobbling, you kids making these videos think "saucer pass" just means a nice pass.a saucer pass is when it stays flat through the air, just spin, no wobble or tumbling.
it was a nice pass sure, but it was past an immobile pylon… so technically if everyone in the nhl plays like that blues defender who didn't even move his legs or stick then yeah your statement is correct
jesus, this routine pass is being soooooo overblown because every hockey media outlet knows how clickbaity a Bedard headline is. I get the hype, but this is standard play. Happens nightly in the NHL and honestly in lower leagues as well. the sauce wasn't even needed, it was just a timing pass. Any pro has been making that pass since they were 14 years old.
He is small so he learned early to keep his head up, that's a good thing, hits that you don't see coming are the worst and he is damn solid, definitely NHL ready imo. Last year 1st's choice, Slafkovsky was always the bigger guy out there before getting in the NHL so he had the bad habit of having his head down, paid the price a few times last season. He seems to have learned to keep his head up now, and overall improved a lot. Can't wait to watch them both this year.
The kid is sick and besides Thomas on st Lou he was the best player on the ice. The iq, skating and shot will get him 40 goals this season. We are stoked!

I was at a game
This boy looks like having Makar skating abilities with the aiming of Matthews and the brain of Crosby. He will be outstanding to be looking at.

Damn I’m starting to feel old!!! Teenagers who are 10 years younger than me are playing in the NHL and joining the military now! 😭😢

Overhyped..
Silly title, of course the NHL is ready for Bedard, just like they were ready for McDavid and Crosby before him and those before them etc.
People thought Theo fleury was small also
plan the parade .
I’m a Ranger fan, but will be watching all the Blackhawk YouTube highlights after EVERY game. He’s so fun to watch and cheer for. Later.
The NHL is ready. He'll be great. He had a nice night…but come on – it's a nice pass, but it wasn't flat off his stick, etc.
Nice play. Nice pass…but good grief.
Flat, beautiful sauce: https://youtu.be/s3Dt_KUGOKU?si=B6GMuknDJMfwkfHj
Man imagine Bedard if Kane and Toews were still there and healthy. Someone on the Hawks has to be a mentor to help him grow and develop.
Calm down folks. Half the players in the league and 2/3rds of the forwards can make that pass
