Solely based on this goal, 2023 4th rnd, 109 pick Ethan Miedema will be invited to Sabres camp. Amazing how scouts keep hitting those.

This is exactly what you look for out of mid round picks in DY+1: starting to dominate in the CHL/USHL/ european leagues. High round picks were already dominant and you want them to *contend* for roster spots right away, and absolutely obliterate their junior leagues if they end up getting sent back. Mid round picks you want to *begin* to dominate in junior (pre draft they were “really good” in junior) and address their weaknesses. Late round picks is basically the same but in DY+2.
