I’d post the article, but pretty sure it’s pay walled

Who are the top 6 most likely to win the cup? 7th seems low to me but maybe there are more good teams than I’m giving credit for.

Not a huge surprise their model doesn’t favor some of our pickups who we all expect to outperform their previous seasons based on who they will be playing with on the Avs, i.e. Drouin, RyJo, Tatar, Wood, etc.

The boys are pissed this year, I think they are going to remind the league who the real Avs are, last season was an exception, not the norm, and they’ll be a top-3 team minimum all season.

I think it’ll come down to how well all the new additions the Avs made to the forward lineup during the offseason. There were some pretty massive changes to the lower-mid tier forwards, and it feels like they’re rolling the dice on a couple of the new guys. If things click and they stay reasonably healthy, they’ll be a solid contender to come out of the west, but on the other side of the coin (puck?), I’m old enough to remember 2004.

I think we’ve upgraded in positions but folks making rankings will lead with “Gab’s out”

RyJo (28pts) for Compher (52pts) with RyJo playing half the games.

Drouin (29pts) for Newhook (30pts) with Drouin playing half the games

    Woods (27pts) for Nieto (24pts)

Compher and Newhook don’t have the ceilings we thought they had whereas RyJo and Drouin have been on bad teams with limited playmakers around them. Just think what’ll they do with our squad, regardless of what line!

I’m pumped boys. If we stay healthy, this team is going to be scary.
