Fans waking up on Matty being a top and class player, nice to see. Just look at actual penalty minutes to confirm most peoples view of him is probably wrong 🙂
Canes fan here. On the ice he's a pest and drives me crazy(I don't think he's a dirty player, just playing a roll) but off ice he seems like such a cool guy, down to earth. He's also probably one of the best in the NHL to do post and pre game interviews, he's not the generic hockey interviewee.

If you watch any interview with Tkachuk since he’s come to Florida he takes every opportunity to praise Barkov’s play and skill, even at one point putting Barkov up there with McDavid and Makar in his personal opinion. Barkov also takes every opportunity to praise what Tkachuk has brought to the team both on and off ice. I think this year and these playoffs have been the beginning of a really powerful duo on the Panthers and its great to see them have this much chemistry as the leadership of the team
Chomping on your mouth guard will be the new trend in minor league hockey. Just predicting. It will start at age 6 and go from there. Might even start a trend of smelling salts held around the eyes (Barkov)…OK hopefully that DOESNT start. Nothing like NHL playoffs…nothing.

Having watched VGK losing last match against Dallas it would be a miracle Florida not winning the cup.
