Patience… and more top draft picks. Just a few more years. Young top prospects, terrible contracts left on the team are almost gone (should work out well timing wise with the next young core).
Only 5 players from the last time the sharks made the playoffs last are still on the team. Everyone else is new… so they already "blew up" the team. Now, we just have to wait on those contracts to expire. Hertl will probably be the only "old guy" still on the team when the next core takes over.
We all know the sharks are gonna suck for another few years. We'll take it for some more top draft picks.
Almost 20 years of good hockey has its consequences 🤷♂️
