Craig Button on Vasily Podkolzin, 1st round picks on waivers and Chris Snow
TSN Director of Scouting Craig Button joined the guys to chat about Vasily Podkolzin’s development, Ottawa putting a couple of first round picks on waivers and the late Chris Snow.
Sports Pundits: say things Fan bases: "you're an idiot" Sports pundits: "I'm right even though everything I said makes no sense." Fan Bases: "tell us more oh genius" Craig Button: "I admit I was wrong about X or Y" Fan bases: "He admitted he's wrong, see he's the dumbest guy in sports."
Thank you, boys, for bringing in the topic of Chris Snow, and for Craig Button to mention that in life and also in death, Mr. Snow did what he could for the betterment of humanity. RIP and condolences to Chris' family… a very sad story for the entire hockey community.
Podkolzin is also possibly just a guy that doesn't get along with the new head coach. It happens all the time in coaching, which would mean he either rots in the minors, gets traded to be a NHLer somewhere else, Tocchet and Podkolzin figure a way through it, or he waits for Tocchet to get fired.
Podkolzin needs to be on a much better team with a way more professional organization. And hopefully this will happen before this bush organization ruins him.
Pods looks like hes playing scared. when i heard about him, he reminded me of Alex Burrows but with more offensive upside from what he was described to be. Unfortunately i havent really seen anything that comes close to that. Maybe a glimpse here and there but thats not gonna cut it
At least the first round picks on waivers is a reminder that everyone misses. It hurts more when it's top 10 picks tho and Canucks miss on far too many of those.

Hodgson, Virtanen, Podkolzin, Hoglander…… hire new scouts maybe?
Being a late bloomer isnt a bad thing. He works real had and that at least is respectable

A few posters here speak out of their ass, clearly not Canuck fans
Why does everyone have so much patience for Hogglander but not Podz? Weird.
For Podkolzin is better to go somewhere else, where he be better threatened.
