   Lindholm is a great two-way player and not worth 9 million @ 7- 8yrs, IMO he’s looking for a cash cow and I hope Cgy walks away from him.

   Intentional Knee shot and player needs possible surgery 4 games not right. Player that is the instigator should be out as long as the player injured. Cheapest shot in hockey!

    Please no expansion to Atlanta it will be like the TB Rays of MLB and due to the citizens mostly being transients you will never develop a true core fan base and there's nothing worse than empty arenas. Mgmt or not the experiment FAILED TWICE already with the Flames & Thrashers and a third will NOT be a charm…Houston is a bigger Atlanta just look at there other sports teams with ATL/HOU as they do not draw well unless they are competitive!!! On the other hand, I would like to see small markets that will sell out like Quebec but would love to see a team in Salt Lake or Portland as I'm sure they will grow a faithful fanbase and fill the rinks even if the team is struggling!!!

    I'm in Houston and one interesting thing I want to put out there is that when the US has recessions, which a lot of economists are expecting to happen again soon, oil prices tend to rise. Houston's economy is very, very tied to oil and gas, and when oil prices rise, the city's economy gets a boost that kind of offsets the hard times. I think there's a world where a recession in the next year or so fast tracks Houston getting an NHL team. That expansion fee would be pretty enticing to the existing team owners if any more financial troubles happen, but that could also give Ferttita leverage to keep the fee on the smaller side. (By smaller side I mean like… less $75m or something lol. Still huge.) Both sides would have even more incentives to get a deal done.

    Re the Calgary arena: According to the website, any overrun costs for the arena will be split 50-50 between the team and the city. For the infrastructure costs that the province is picking up, the overruns will be picked up by the city.

    Habs will carry three goalies until the better options pass through or get claimed. They have a few young position players that can temporarily be moved down for the start of the season and recalled when Primeau passes through.
