I’m excited not going to lie. I can’t wait to see what comes about these lines for opening night. I’m excited to see what Carbery does and how he has this team playing.
Backstrom and Oshie are playing on bonus time. Both are seriously damaged older goods. Oshie has to change his game. The passion needs to be there yet he cannot go in the corners full speed and injure himself for a possible 10% chance of it resulting in any chance for or against his team. He needs to use his brain or he’ll end up like his father in 20 years if that is already not in the cards after all the damage he has endured through 20 years of passion for the game and never letting up. I have seen him hurt so baby so many times it is impressive that he is still able to function. Backstrom is skating on an ‘artificial’ hip that can break at any moment in the NHL. Had he done this work and retired he probably could live out the rest of his days in good health. Playing hockey on overtime who knows? I dread seeing him sprawled out on the ice in pain. Unable to get up and that be the end of his NHL tenure. I really hope the new coach has a plan b for this year without those two. The rest of the lineup are healthy and are looking good. Wilson better than ever!
I’ve noticed some odd rush goals in these preseason games. The center gets caught up ice, which is fine if the winger who is back in the play reads it, and helps on defense. I watched Wilson do just that, being the pro that he is. Hopefully coaching will help the guys with this..
My goodness, get Phillips away from Mantha and Protas. They may bring him down..😂
