  1. Any player under NHL contract at the start of the new NHL year, who meet the required age/games played requirement(waiver eligible), must be waived to be loaned to a Non-NHL team aka "sent down", Akil will have to pass through waivers because he is on the NHL roster at the start of the new NHL year

I will defend my position on Bjornfot over Englund, one thing you kinda miss qouted me, I said he played a "Matt Roy type game", a manner of game that can go unnoticed if your not watching the player specifically. Bjornfots reputation, when drafted, was a player who makes the right play and isn't out of position, and on the Cooley goal which was indeed an all-world goal, Englund made a very simple mistake which allowed for Cooley to make that play, Englund, in front of the his own net, without support, went for a poke check instead of defending and/or taking the body, to me that's just basic's, dont hang your goalie out stuff, given it's one play, against a potentially elite player, but it just seemed that Toby just didn't put himself in a position to hurt the team, which can be undervalued in an of itself, all of that to say that i think Bjornfot played to his strentghs effectively if not boistrously and Englund tried to be more than who he is, maybe its a product of trying to make the team but i thought Bjornfot in his 2 games I've seen so far (including tonight) has been consistently well positioned and hasnt had to chase pucks while Englund has had some positional questions. but again im just a fan so what the hell do i know

  2. I doubt Kopi would ever get blown up like that. He's smart enough to know to keep his head up and aware of his surroundings. And even if he did by some chance, he wouldn't act like Stoner and talk all this smack about how superior and entitled he is and the only people that could ever touch him is someone else with a multimillion dollar contract. Kopi would tell the media that he should keep his head up and he hoped the young player will have a good career. That is Kopi's way and why he is a respected individual and a first ballot hall or farmer. As far as my antagonism of PLD, I just can't shake the feeling that this guy will be a guy who will bring this cavalier attitude into the locker room and just be a me-first player. I guess only time will tell but it is a feeling I can't make go away. He's really not a huge improvement over Daneult in terms of production as Daneult will prevent many goals but it does give vital depth but that's it. The top 6 won't be anything like in Pittsburgh, Edmonton, or Toronto in terms of offensive production. Maybe only if production comes from the bottom 6 can the Kings play to outscore someone. Thanks for your thoughts on my comment, Eddie. Always appreciated.

  3. The hit on Stone was an old-school clean hockey hit. I get the reaction by the Vegas team, but what was childish was Stone's comments dismissing Hodgson as some nobody player who will never play in nhl. Very disrespectful by Vegas captain.
