  1. jake debrusk for elias pettersson brock beoser quinn hughes nils hoglander demko vasily podkolzon

  2. I think Colin Miller and either a 3rd or 4th round pick would be an interesting package for Boston, and Buffalo could definitely use a Debrusk like player

  3. Would love Jake in Edmonton. His father is a commentator and does a lot of oilers games. Match made in heaven

  4. Ottawa senators- Brannstrom, Josh Brown, 5th round pick 2022
Boston Bruins- Jake Debrusk, 4th round pick
    Thoughts?

  5. I'd love to see the Pens get a player like DeBrusk, but really, could only see them trading a defensemen, maybe Domoulin, for him.

They're about the same, contract money wise, and it would help the Pens bring some of their young defensemen up from Wilkes-Barre for some playing time.

I kinda see DeBrusk being a Max Talbot type player for them, were they to get him.

  6. As a Bruins fan, I’m gonna go ahead and say I don’t like any of these trades for Boston. Kassian, Jarnkrok, and Greenway don’t really fill the role Boston needs (secondary scorers) as Kassian and Jarnkrok have struggled to fill the net. Greenway is maybe a little better but as a struggling player is probably not someone we want over Debrusk. Strome is really a riskier option and I think Debrusk in his current condition is better than Strome has been—I’m always wary of a player drafted so high being traded multiple times in his young career.

  7. The wings should pick him up we need a line 2 winger beside fabbri and sutter zadina is better on line 3

  8. Come to St. Louis, would look great with Barbashev/Sundqvist/Kostin or even on the left side of Schenn

  9. I wonder if Nashville will be able to sign forsberg after this season maybe debrusk and a first could get it done.

  10. I like the Tanner Pearson one but the Canucks would definitely have to throw in a sweetener. DeBrusk is 100% Jim Benning’s kinda guy. Former first rounder who needs a change of scenery. I don’t know if Benning is still in the drivers seat in Van anymore though.

  11. I think Jake is a great second line player but I think that’s his ceiling. I like him a lot overall tho. He’s been a non-factor as of late and is def not a 4th line player at all

  12. Here is the reason Jake DeBrusk has become disenchanted with the Bruins. 2018-19 season he scores 27 Goals. very promising for a second year player. His rookie contract was up, and the Bruins throw him some crumbs, while giving Charlie Coyle 6+Million dollars a year for his sensational 12 goal season. Then Coyle had that major breakout season scoring 16 goals to just while DeBrusk only scored 19 goals. To be honest, If I was Marchand or Pastrnak I would be looking for greener pastures as well. They are the two most grossly under paid players in the NHL History.

  13. Yzerman will take him for Dekeyser and the Detroit Lions 6th round pick in 2023.

    Fact check: True.

  14. Robbi Fabbri and a 5th for DeBrusk

I broke it down on Complete Hockey but TLDR:

Fabbri is a FA at the end of this year, and DeBrusk is RFA.

And also, Fabbri has more offensive zone starts (which should lead to more offensive generation -which tells you even more about Fabs being on a “defensive biased team”), and has some key worse advanced metrics stats such as xG. DeBrusk 10.5 compared to Fabbri 5.8 (20-21’). Fabbri has a higher shooting % due to having mroe clean looks at the net.

Ultimately, Fabbri is a less complete player than DeBrusk, but a more consistent weapon (currently). Although comparable, it would give the Wings another player for one more year to parade out (that’s above WAR), before they promote one of Jonatan Berggren, and Elder Söderblom -if they do both, then sure you don’t need either or: DeBrusk or Fabs.

Why not get something for nothing? (If you’re the Wings.)

Fabbri is getting looks on the 2nd line and 1st PP because Vrana’s hurt (and he had chemistry with Bert in the O). Vrana slots in with Suter and Zadina (if he ever gets his act together) on the 1st PP and takes Fabs spot on the second line.

If you’re Boston fan; the expiring contract, Fabbri being a more consistent weapon that sees PP time, with a higher shooting percentage aka “goal scoring outside the first two lines”, and in a contract year he could be a rental that ends up “finishing” in the stars for Boston are all attractive.

Boston: Current consistency and potentiality for; Wings: an extra year rental and potentiality.

  15. Wild fan, maybe biased but the Greenway swap does feel very beneficial to both except for that I believe Debrusk earns a bit more than Greenway and the Wild aren't looking to add any or much cap, half way thru the seasonso I guess there wouldn'tbe much to take on. Are both RFAs after this season?

  16. DeBrusk, a 24 year old guy with 3 goals 3 assists with 30 goal potential, for Jarnkrok, a 30 year old rental with 1 goal 1 assist, a career high 35 points, and is -8. Lol no thanks.

DeBrusk for Kassian? Lmao, seriously? The Oilers have been wanting to offload Kassian for a while, why would the Bruins make this trade?

  17. As a bruins fan I would love the Greenway or strome deals. Hell no to Kassian. Debrusk is one of those players I’ve always seen as a 3rd liner with second line potential but he just doesn’t put in the effort every game. Hopefully a change of scenery will help him.

  18. I want to see a debrusk for Monahan trade. I think it could benefit both Calgary and Boston.

  19. Maybe I'm crazy, but Evander Kane for DeBrusk with Sharks retaining half Kane's salary. Of course, this vwould be simple if Kane had little baggage, but he's a hard-nosed goal scorer who could be of value in the right setting.

  20. Wow, over valuing debrusk. Qualifying offer would be around four million dollars. No thank you, I can get a better player at that price who can get ten goals. I say Beagle and a late round conditional pick no higher then a 4th.

Pearson for Debrusk? Lol Pearson contract is even worst no way Boston is taking bad contracts Beagle has one year left.

  21. Bergevin overpaid for Anderson. Bother the trade and the contract. I thought everyone knew that? And Anderson had pretty major injury issues and only played 26 games the season he got 1 goal. Debrusk will get a late 2nd or early 3rd or a prospect. I doubt teams interested in him are going to trade an NHL caliber player. I also doubt this is going to happen in the next week. Just because teams called doesn't mean they're still interested. Really depends on the asking price.

  22. As a bruins fan, I think we should give up more to get second line depth scoring. No doubt debrusk is a mediocre player and could blossom with a change but package a first and debrusk for scoring to pair with hall and coyle and that’s where you see the improvement

  23. I’d hate to see greenway move especially with how well he’s been playing over the last few games he’s a big physical player something the wild lack without greenway we’d have duhaime foligno for our gritty forwards although debrusk could help jumpstart fiala and ek with scoring

  24. I'd love to see him SIT. Tired of seeing a guy who doesn't want to play on a team out there skating for them. He's playing softly like he doesn't want to get in any position where he might want to get hurt. He isn't skating hard, hitting hard, nothing. Sit him!!
