Proof that hard work and perseverance pays off, Tye played his way into the Kraken organization and grew by leaps and bounds in a rookie AHL campaign through his competitiveness, physical play and sniper’s shot. Our AHL Rookie of the Year made a stellar run for the Kraken during the NHL playoffs, earning 5 points in 10 games and leading the team in hits.
He brought it again this pre-season, with a devasting PK that had more shots on our opponents’ goals then our own and sniping a goal no one expected him to recover. Goalies and power play units across the league are going to have to beware of Tye Kartye.
Congratulations Tye! An inspiration for many players to come. Look forward to his race for the Calder!
