Bryan Hayes, Jeff O’Neill and Jamie McLennan are joined by TSN Hockey analyst Mike Johnson to discuss why Hayes and MJ left Alex Ovechkin off their TSN Top 50 players list and who they had on it instead of Ovechkin.
Ovi out of the top 50 is crazy. The fact he’s still the best player on his team puts him right into the 50 and he’s still a point per game player at 38.
Guy with Ovi off list is crazy. He’s going to be his normal self this year which is at least 40 goals and team will bounce back if the argument is team success was lacking last year. Also, he has wicked shot and is greatest goal scorer of all-time soon to have numbers to back that up. Most importantly he doesn’t get hurt and plays at a high level always.

It's not just ovi shot. It's the physical punishment he hands out, his playmaker ability is seriously underrated. Saying he's just a shot is almost insulting. He's extremely skilled. Some of the greatest highlight real goals of all time came from ovi
