    Few thoughts:

-Luke Richardson is legit. We had an AHL roster for most of last season and had no business even winning as many as we did. The boys will not quit when playing for him

-Our youngsters looked really good tonight! Bedard may have struggled on faceoffs but was very noticeable all over the ice. Korchinski looked almost too good, we might have to burn a year of his ELC but well worth it. Kaiser made some mistakes but played well down the stretch

-Petr Mrazek was absolutely OUTSTANDING tonight. 1st, 2nd and 3rd star. Reminded me of Crow out there, not super flashy but clutch as fuck.

-Already left my doctor a voicemail because I know my erection will last for more than 4 hours.

Glad to have these threads back. HOCKEY’S BACK!!!

Wow. What an absolute wall of energy this team is. So awesome to see our guys winning the race to the puck for 60 minutes for the first time since 2018

  3. Zeveztrey

excellent game, what a turn around, last season it was always dump and chase. playing around in our own zone, never ending passing and no shooting. what i saw tonight made me feel like it was the vintage hawks. gritty, grinding in front of the net, winning board battles and most importantly. getting pucks to the net, GO HAWKS!!!! NEVER LOSING AGAIN

Loving the pace at which this team was playing. They’ve got some guys with serious wheels and it’s gonna frustrate older teams like the Pens and Bruins. If this is a pedestrian game from Bedard I’m excited to see him ramp it up.

Hockey is back and the Bedard era starts with a win. Gotta love it

  6. AcousticArmor

What time is the Stanley Cup parade down Michigan Ave? Wanna make sure I get a good spot to see Bedard lifting the cup this Year.

  7. BiglySomething

Only Hawks and Bolts are undefeated this season. 2015 SCF rematch guaranteed!

  8. DieHawkBlackHard_Fan

Liked him alot tonight. Offensively, he’s going to make alot of things happen. Just has a nose to make the play. Couple of defensive deer in headlight moments, but he’ll get that. Stronger… alot stronger. Ragdolled a few times tonight.

That was a great game. Bedard looked shaky at times especially trying to knife through multiple players the same way he did in junior but ALREADY he’s the offensive driver of this team, guys were looking for him all night and feeding him the puck because he was one of the few forwards creating and sustaining movement in the O Zone.

Korchinski looked fantastic all game. Calm, Poised, Patient, and Smart in all ends of the ice. All night he had his head on a swivel and opted for the simple smart plays that got the momentum moving the other way. I was thoroughly moved and impressed by Korchinski.

    lol.

Not a fan of Bedard’s line at all. I think I’d prefer Athanasiou – Bedard – Perry.

Korchinski looked like his game will work quite well at the NHL level.

Damn Hawks are fun! Swiss cheese in the defensive zone tho good lord

  12. Big-Eye-1007

Kinda nervous the first 2 periods but man we turned it on in the third. I hope Perry and Foligno can show the young guys a thing or two this year

  13. corsair1210

    Everything’s coming up Millhouse!!

  14. Bballdaniel3

Alright when we’re tanking at the end of the year, I don’t want to hear any of you complaining about how our 15 game win streak to start the season reduced our odds of winning the lottery.

Fucking right on, love to see a win to start the season

  15. The Hawks and beating Crosby, name a more iconic duo

  16. MediumSizedTurtle

This was a great game, but I just wish the announcers had talked about Bedard more. Not nearly enough coverage imo.

  17. toolsmack99

Thought Vlasic, Korch, and Kaiser looked reasonably good in their own end tonight. Jones was a little uninspiring as the trigger man on the PP, but all in all, a fun game. Most importantly a Hawks win to open the season.

  18. JamesTiberiusCrunk

Thought Connor looked good, just still needs to better calibrate what he can’t get away with anymore. He’ll make adjustments.

Korchinski looked great and I’d be surprised if they send him back down.

  19. BassIsBest35

LFG!! awesome to start with a dub, excited for what’s to come

  20. JustSauce25

If I was a Chicago Blackhawk, here’s the game plan
    Plane ride sleep
    9 AM morning skate
    11 am more sleep
    530 hot tub
    630pm pregame
    730 game
If the Blackhawks can beat Boston with that game plan and with the very short rest, I would be extremely impressed! 🤞

    My takeaways:

Korchinski- stud tonight, should get a PP1 look going forward. Skating ability and iq was on display

Mrazek- stud tonight, out of position at times on over commuting but happens.

Bedard- all over the play tonight, still think Reichel and him need a look together, but I’ll beat that horse until it’s dead.great first game, not pass. The Pens cheating on the PP didn’t help him.

Vlasic- some bright spots, some bad moments. Nice to have someone with reach

Reichel- the line had a couple moments but often doesn’t look like they have the chemistry yet, at times Reichels vision/iq looked above his linemates. AA better than raddysh if they keep these lines imo.

Jones- he was alright, nice pass for the goal but didn’t blow me away

4th line looked great, exactly what we need. 3rd line had some energy and some great shifts. Murphy was decent, Kaiser was alright some blunders, tinordi was better than I expected honestly. PP 1 should be Donato- Perry, Reichel, Bedard, Korchinski at least for a look, get some options vs Bedard being just covered.

Overall we played hard and didn’t stop, our speed and relentlessness was on display. Big season ahead

  22. Will this team be less disappointing than the other teams have been this year? Here’s hoping 🤞

    Go hawks!!!

  23. jackpotjones43

Granato on the post game, outstanding! Someone who really sees and can explain the game. What a concept.

  24. revken86

With all the Bedard circle-jerking going on (and putting ridiculous pressure on the kid–I’m sure plenty are disappointed he didn’t score a goa), tonight was awesome to see because the entire team skates their asses off for the win. We’ll need that whole team energy.

  25. AccuratePassion2572

The equipment guy moved his stick that’s why he didn’t score

  26. EstimatedProphet72

Hockey is so much fun, so glad another season is upon us!

  27. CherryCokeSlurpee

    Hawks 12 takeaways 2 giveaways

    Pens 11 takeaways 8 giveaways

    Only 2 giveaways seems good
