  1. This is his truth, his religion, his beliefs, and he wasn’t speaking out against anyone else and didn’t want to bring any attention to it which he has every right to in this country, and if his employer doesn’t have an issue with it then this is a non-issue, he’s being more American then anyone suggesting he should be fined, fired, or to go back to his own country, people can not be this hypocritical and unaware,he’s just being his true self and this an attempt by some to suppress his rights

  2. Lot of teams an players have taken to fallowing his lead. Its great i cant even start with how many comment wars i have not tired to start. Just for say its a free county to each their own no matter who likes it or doesn’t. .

  3. This is so based. If it goes against what he believes and he said no it’s no. People can grow up and read what of fricken boundary is. You make your own choices and people can not effect you, and people who want to control you really can’t. It is so dumb that people get mad at him for believing what he wants, and having his own mind, I hope they grow up and realize they can’t get whatever they want, and can’t control other people. (Btw good slid into ad read Brett)

  4. Okay no here I don t agree at all, wearing this for the sport team on this day means just one thing. It means that you are supporting the gay and trans people. This is really important cause in lots of contries they are getting killed, this is factual ! Even in France (where i live) and in America, there is still some people injuring some gay and trans people for no reasons, all these behaviours are disgustings ! And yeah I heard you all coming saying that this is a mentality and supporting this mentality blablabla. Simple answer, Whatever. It can be what you want. And people who are transitionning might be just people feeling bad. And also they are just a minority on the lgtb ! So you don t wan t to support gay and lesbians ! And people suffering in they own body and who are getting killed does not deserve your support ? Cause "you are religious ?", sorry but you are homophobic ! Your religion is 100% your responsibility ! I don t care what you are believing or not it is your own problem. Stop hiding your homophobia behind religion. Religion is your thing, you can chose in America even to belive it or not. So… Stop that is enough ! How hateful…

  5. The reporter Sid said this was for gay rights… how is "gender affirmation care" a gay rights issue? I'm gay and wouldn't participate.

  6. This happened with one of the NRL (AUS sport) teams we have a womens round to show respect to women that work behind the scenes to make the game happening (mothers, wives, admin team, cheerleaders and etc) and one of the teams decided to a pride jersey instead and several of the players didn’t want to wear the jersey, so there had to sit out the game. So many ppl online were say the should lose the contract for having beliefs, it was so uncalled for.

  7. If hockey is for everyone why can't it be for people who value their religious values 🙄 and that's coming from a canadian too 😂 I wish to no longer be associated with this man tyvm 🥲

  8. Lol they didn’t even have any hockey questions for him just silence 😂

  9. 5:38 man that is almost as clean as me after Jesus died on the cross for my sins

  10. The lgbtq community is not supported in Russia or in the Russian Orthodox religion. If he is Russian and doesn't want to support this, he doesn't have to. He would get a crap load of backlash from Russians if he wore the pride jersey, and he's getting crap from the westerners for not wearing it. If it's a free country, he should be free to not water the jersey. Coming from a Slavic person living in Canada, Ivan Provorov is the most based NHL player ever.

  11. This dipshit on that NHL show tells him to go back to Russia and get into the war (so he can have a high probability of death). Absolute psychopath.

  12. Good on him, as a Russian orthodox myself, I’m glad he didn’t compromise on the faith☦️

  13. If people are trans or gay etc…that’s what they believe in……now your saying, “Oh well people can believe if there a woman or not, but OH NO YOU CANNOT I REPEAT CAN NOT chose their religion.” Yeah um, you guys can leave if it’s that big a problem that I have a different opinion/religion. Shut up hockey is not a Yes include EVERYONE 🏳️‍🌈😊 sport. So um grow up.

  14. “Be true to yourself!” -the person who yelled at Ivan for believing in his own religion

  15. Perhaps he left Russia and came to a "free democratic Country" to avoid being told what he must do or not do! Good God!! Being told what you must wear for any reason sounds insane to me, what happened to free choice, etc, etc…

  16. Did the pink shirted nhl network guy just say “go back to the country you came from” but in long form? Funny that doesn’t seem very inclusive to me

  17. I’m from Philly but living in a different state. And even though I have my icon as a Phillies hat, I stopped watching all sports since they started all the disgusting gay garbage. But I support this guy!

  18. Saying NHL is committed to inclusivity and all are welcome… but we have excluded people despite saying all are welcome. It’s a contradictory statement and mindset, but it’s different from what do and what we say. It’s different so therefore it’s better this way!

  19. I don’t blame him. I wouldn’t wear it either. Why would they make or try to make straight people wear pride merch smh you can literally go to a hospital and say that because of your religious beliefs as woman no men can come into my room and it’s acceptable so this man should be given that same latitude it’s that simple

  20. What happened to enjoying things, why the hell does sexuality have to be included in fvcking everything, get outta here. Great work Brett and this NHL player

  21. This team has more maturity about differences than the actors playing the PROPHETS of JESUS CHRIST! So sad.

  22. When are people going to realize that by pushing the pride political agenda it actually is not be inclusive, they are belittling people and their free rights to have their own beliefs and religion if it doesn’t show you supporting their agenda

  23. Assimilate. That word puts up a major red flag to me. I grew up in a high control group that wanted everyone to “put on the new personality.” People have to be who they are.💁🏻‍♀️

  24. As I Canadian that has spent most of my childhood in an arena due to my brother playing hockey….Sports has nothing to do with the alphabet people. Politics, religion, and opinions have nothing to do with the game. Idk why this is such a big deal. He didn't do it, move on.

  25. Wow. The team needs to be fined 1 million dollars because they want to respect a players first amendment rights. The band wagon media agenda really needs to stop. Ivan has my utmost respect for standing firm in his beliefs and his rights as an American regardless of where he was born.

  26. I don't get why the media can't just focus on the 97% or so of the players that did warm up then the one guy who did protest.

  27. This is why i try to get more people involved in our wonderful world of Hockey. It's action packed, a diverse set of players and styles, played worldwide, is violent and fighting allows us to police our own game. It's such an aggressive sport but it's played by such accepting and down to Earth men and women who respect each other but remain true to themselves.

  28. I live in Canada and I can't stand Sid (or Tim for that matter). They're both judgmental assholes who Trump-sized egos. I'm not familiar with the guy on the NHL Network but I don't really care.

  29. Go where you feel comfortable = go back where you come from. Manz is fitting to not sound racist💀
